It's a Hovell, Dirty, Mouldy, black mould. Full of Mosquitoes as open to the elements as louvered window not able to be fully closed and toilet has opening with gnats and mossies coming in.
Black mould on ceilings etc stayed one night only. Garden needed mowing, had 2 small dogs with us and we had to stay out with them, for safety and try to block gate to stop them getting out.
Cannot understand how this can be allowed. Just left next morning. Did not complain as what could be done as we wanted to relax. NEVER AGAIN! We have taken loads of pictures if you want the evidence?
I love walking with my dog and the region was beautiful with a big range of dog-friendly walks, as well as many for hikers without dogs to enjoy. It was close and easy to get to surrounding villages with good resources as well as the town of Bunbury. The cottage had a great backyard and had been made as comfortable and pleasant as possible for a basic house in an ordinary but friendly village. It was a good stay.
Took ages to get the lockbox to work to get in, the place was freezing cold and smelled musty, with no heating at all. No wood for the fire, no electric blankets. Thankfully there were only two of us so we could use the blankets on all the beds on the one we slept in to even be slightly warm. It was nice you left biscuits and milk, but overall not a nice place to stay. Glad we had only booked one night and could leave in the morning.
Wonderful almost century old house that took me back to my grandparents house in the country.
Beautiful shady back yard that our dogs loved and we sat and had a wine. Ellen the host was very very good at prompt communication and left milk, bread and some yummy local cake in the fridge on arrival.
There is basically everything you need for comfortable stay in a small country town.
We really appreciated the dog friendly touches.
Local tavern and shops were so nice and accommodating even with dogs.
Would highly recommend 😀
This is a cute cottage, which brings back fond memories of holiday houses from my childhood. Lovely homely place, comfortable beds with soft sheets, extra blankets in the cupboard and Ellen left chocolate biscuits, microwave popcorn, bread and milk for us! My greyhound loved the garden and he was safely enclosed. I watched the flames dance in the fireplace from my bed...lovely and warm for a winter stay.
My friend and I enjoyed a lovely retreat at Connie’s Cottage. Full of rustic charm and appeal. Clean and tidy walking distance to Boyanups local treasures. Great communication with host.
Hubby and i wanted a few days away from the hustle & bustle and we found just that at Connies Cottage. The house was clean & cozy with a huge enclosed backyard for the doggies or the kidsThe location is lovely & quiet and is a stones throw from the boyanup pub (a must visit - try the steak s/w)After a day of exploring Busselton & beyond we couldn't wait to jump into bed (and what a comfortable bed it is) and re-energise for the new day ahead. We would be very happy to return
Beautifully kitted out. Peaceful location giving us city slickers time to wind down and smell the roses.

Cute old cottage, needs some love
Cute old cottage, but was not our favourite place to stay. Was not very clean when we arrived- I had to clean the shower, kitchen counters and toilet with antibacterial wipes as there was lots of dust and some evidence of past guest use. The cottage garden is totally neglected/ quite bare and it isnt very nice sitting outside there. The interior is practical, but furniture and decor is very old and tatty. If the owner would put a bit more money and time into doing up this property, it could be amazing.
Lovely little cottage, older style like nannas house
Crisp clean sheets and comfy bed. Turned the aircon on cooled down lovely and sat down and watched some Netfliks just what was needed after a long day of driving.Walked to the tavern for tea. There was milk, bread and breakfast supplies.
Slept well
We stopped at Coffee Joy on way home as the host left a gift card for us
Thankyou
We had a lovely stay in connies cottage. Very local to surrounding areas of interest in bunbury doonybrook dardenup boyonup and ferguson valley so lots to see and do. Lovely that milk and bread as well as a beautiful sponge cake was lect for us to share too! Everyrhing needed is provided in the cottage so very self contained and quaint.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful little cottage. It reminded me of staying at my grandparents home when I was young, but in a good way. Lovely little touches provided by the host and lots of breakfast choice. We'll definitely be staying again. Thanks so much
Enjoyed the stay. Has a real feel to how people used to live back in the day.
We enjoyed the stay and location.
I did love the old stove in the house (just for show) as it added to character.
We arrived at 3pm to find washing hanging on the line, on entry the the house had not been cleaned. Used towels in the bathroom, toilet not clean, food still in freezer, items in fridge, bin not emptied, and main bedroom had dirty linen still on the bed. We had no choice but to leave as couldn’t get phone coverage to send a message as you can’t call anyone. Were forced to get alternate accommodation. Spoilt our holiday completely.

Back to the 1950's
This is a very old Govt. house with small rooms that are not well ventilated. There is a small AC in one room that did not work. The TV would not work. The beds were good. There was a plentiful supply of breakfast foods. Overall not a good place in hot weather
Cute character cottage. Clean , comfortable & well presented. Spacious with old world charm.
We’ll set up for breakfast. Supplied all we needed.
Thanks for your flexibility Ellen Lily
To start it’s hard to determine which property it is with no number or ‘Connie’s Cottage’ anywhere to be seen. Don’t open any drawers. They have never been cleaned. The whole place feels like it needs a good clean. Although the sheets were crisp, fresh & clean.
Some reviewers described the property as cute & quirky. We describe it as run down & neglected with only enough maintenance done to ensure it remains standing.
