Parkside combines the charm of a traditional mountains home, with the understated luxury of a modern renovation. It is located in one of Blackheath's best streets – a ten minute walk from the train station, opposite the Blackheath Soldiers Memorial Park and its 11 hectares of parkland, and just a short stroll from good coffee and the restaurants, cafes, galleries and shops in charming Blackheath village.
Parkside’s interiors are elegant and modern. The house has three double bedrooms, a chef’s kitchen with a large oven and plentiful bench space, separate dining and living areas, and a double bathroom with a bath sized for two and a large, separate shower. Every room looks onto gardens, and the upstairs balcony provides an unobstructed view across to the parklands opposite. The back patio leads to an outdoor dining area and a private landscaped garden popular with native birds. The courtyard leading from the dining room, with its autumnal garden and water feature, is the perfect spot to relax with a good book.
The park opposite has several facilities including a swimming pool, picnic shelters, BBQs, a duck pond, playgrounds and access to the beautiful Popes Glen bushwalk, which leads walkers through the national park to the famous Govett’s Leap lookout.
Parkside is popular with families who love the access to the park, friends who enjoy the proximity to Blackheath’s dining scene, couples celebrating a special occasion and guests who enjoy the comfort of the house after a day bushwalking in the Blue Mountains World Heritage National Park. We also host long term stays.
The house is comfortable in all weather conditions with a gas log fire in the kitchen, combustion wood fire in the lounge room and split system air conditioners in the lounge and dining rooms. The bedrooms have ceiling fans, and each bed is fitted with an electric blanket. For guests who like to stay in, the well-equipped kitchen has everything required for a home cooked meal. In the living room, there is a 55” smart tv, a blue tooth speaker for streaming music and Wi-Fi. Parkside is truly a home away from home, it has two driveways for parking and access to an external power point near the driveway for EV charging if required.
Parkside is a smoke free home and please note, we love our furry friends but, this retreat is strictly no pets.
One bag of complimentary firewood, fire-starters and matches are provided during the months of April - October. Additional bags of firewood and kindling are available from the Blackheath IGA or any of the service stations along the highway. Otherwise there is reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you warm.

Please note the tariff is based on 4 guests. If you have more than 4 staying, please enter the correct number to get the correct tariff. Maximum 6 guests.
All long weekends are a minimum 3-night stay, all public holidays are charged at the weekend tariff and Easter is a minimum 4-night stay.
All beds will be made with quality linen before your arrival including doonas, pillows, bath towels, bath mats & hand towels. Tea towels are also provided for the kitchen.
