About this property

2 bedroom holiday home at Paihia

Small 2 bedroom house in the bush. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Open space living area with small new kitchen. All newly renovated.
Very steep driveway and you have to walk down stairs to the house. Single car park.

Sitting on the small deck makes you feel like you are on holiday in a forest but then still so close to the small town. We really enjoy this new renovated holiday home as you can just sit there and enjoy the beautiful nature.

We are 2.5km away from main town and 700m walk down to Te Haumi beach. It is a steep uphill coming back but we enjoy the walk as a family.
Easy to get to Opua Ferry to go over to Russell with the car ferry or take the passenger ferry over for some great pizzas at Horne Garden.

There is 2 x houses on the property which we rent out as holiday homes. It is located in residential area with majority of the neighbours retired and decided to enjoy the quiet life.

That’s why we love it so much there as you are away from the tourist busy vibe but still feels like you are on holiday.

Had a lovely stay in Paihia in this cozy bach. We had 3 adults and 2 kids. This was a perfect setting for our weekend getaway.

Tucked away, has all the necesssities
Nicely furnished with all you need, this little place will meet needs. Though you could walk to Te Haumi beach, it would be dangerous on a narrow, busy road and you'd rather go to Paihia beach anyway...so you need a car here. It is right in the forest, as advertised, but the main road is nearby so a bit noisy. The driveway is intimidating but serviceable. All in all, a good value.

All you need
This is a well kept place and the natural bush the deck overlooks is awesome. Lots of work has been put in to this bach and it was so easy to just have our holiday and not have anything to worry about. When we had questions, Carien answered us promptly. Thanks Carien!

Beautiful little hideaway in the bush, perfect for a girl's weekend.
A lovely little cottage in the bush, perfect for a girl's weekend, with two bathrooms and lovely products. The driveway is very steep and the pathway and deck can be slippery in the wet weather, so care is need. Host responded quickly to any queries. All in all and lovely weekend.

Carien's bach was amazing to stay at. It had very modern decor and the amenities available were very suitable for our needs. Any questions or concerns were quickly responded to by the owner. We would love to stay here again when we are up in Paihia!

Waking up in the house will make you feel like you are somewhere in a bush without any worries. We love spending time at the house and just recharge again. It overs a lot of peace and quiet. You have to drive to the beach and town (there is a 2.5km walk way to town)
