About this property

Cozy cottage retreat + Bunkie with the perfect western exposure waterfront

Escape to our west facing, three Bedroom cottage plus bunkie, on the shores of beautiful Isabella Lake.

PROPERTY

This cozy bungalow cottage features three bedrooms that sleep 8, a four piece bathroom, as well as a bunkie that sleeps 4. Spacious outdoor area with a large deck that provides lounge seating for enjoying that morning coffee while taking in the spectacular lake views, as well as an outdoor table and chairs so that you can take advantage of the beautiful weather while enjoying your meals outside. Walk the gentle slope down to the shoreline which is a mix of sandy beach and flat canadian shield. There is a gentle wade in area which is perfect for the little ones and those that find it difficult to get in the water. A spacious dock with ladder is also there for you to either bask in the all day sun or jump off and swim out to the floating dock just off shore. If the sun is too much, but you still want to stay by the water, laze your day away in the tree hammock or sit in the small patio area in the shade. Sand toys, two sit on kayaks, paddle boat, canoe, and other water toys are there for you to enjoy. The Isabella Lake boat launch (170 Isabella Lake rd) is close by so feel free to bring a boat and moor it on the dock. The lake boasts 12km of shoreline, 4 islands and lots of bays and inlets to explore. Jump on a kayak and go check out the waterfalls (also known as the chutes) where Isabella & Duck Lake connect. They are located south of the cottage and you can just see and hear them from the dock. Isabella Lake is also great for fishing (Pickerel, Pike, Small & Large Mouth Bass), so bring those fishing rods!
After a day of cottage adventures (and enjoying the spectacular views of the sunset), cozy up at night roasting marshmallows at either one of the two bonfires. One located down by the shore, the other up beside the cottage. Or stay inside and enjoy the vast DVD collection, satellite tv, and numerous board games. On cool evenings, there’s a wood fireplace as well as electric baseboard heating to keep you warm.
Cottage boasts three bedrooms: Bedroom 1 - King bed; Bedroom 2 - Queen bed; Bedroom 3 - Bunk bed with Queen up top and double below; Bathroom - Full 4-piece washroom; Bunkie - Pull out couch and loft queen bed & a separate outhouse with electricity.
*For your convenience, pillows and comforters are provided BUT you must bring your own bed linens (pillow cases, sheets, etc).
Enjoy cooking and eating in the open concept kitchen and dining room which are fully equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, crock pot, pot/pans, utensils, etc. Patio door to the outside deck access’s’ the propane BBQ as well the smoker by the bonfire area.

AREA

Located on beautiful Isabella Lake, only 15 minutes away from Parry Sound and its many amenities. Parry Sound is located on the eastern coast of Georgian Bay’s ‘30 000 Islands’. It is considered the world’s largest freshwater archipelago (group of islands). This area is known for its natural wonder, wilderness feeling and rich cultural history. It was designated by UNESCO as the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve, one of only 13 UNESCO sites in Canada.
Stop in at the Orville Bakery Barista for some baked goods, fresh bread, lunch, specialty coffee or ice cream. If you love to geocache, then there's multiple spots close by, one of which is on the lake. There is also the Seguin Recreational trail, a multi-use crown recreational corridor spanning a distance of approx. 75km. The entrance to this trail is just 2km from the cottage. It’s great for hiking and a major ATV and snowmobile route. If golfing is your thing, there’s the Seguin Valley Golf club, Parry Sound Golf & Country Club, Rocky Crest Golf Resort, Deer Run Golf Course, and The Ridge at Manitou.
Check out the Seguin Township & Parry Sound Tourism websites which contain lots of helpful information.

Cozy
The cottage was nice , the open concept worked well. Everyone enjoyed it. I am over 60 and you need to be carefull outside it can be slippery. First day i fell near end of path. First day i also fell on patio by water my chair leg got between patio stones. They are a little to far out from each other. There is an old shed by water which was great we kept our water stuff and drinks in it all week and just brought down ice. The fire pit was nice by water but moved table right back to sit by it safely. The pit was very full so i had to clean it out so wood did not roll out , then it was fine. It was also nice there was fire pit by cottage if you did not want to go to water. Much more private at water. Thanks for the stay. For sure the stay represents a true northern ontario experience. Exactly what a week at a cottage should be!
We had a great time staying the cozy cottage retreat! It was the perfect amount of space and the set up was well thought out and complete. My husband and I stayed for a week with our two sons (ages 9 and 5) and we all had a blast! We also had my brother and his family stay with us for a couple of nights and the boys got to stay in their own bunkie with their cousins, which might have been the highlight for them! The cottage had everything you could possibly need - amazing games and DVDs (the kids fav was the retro supermario brothers tv shoes!), fully equipped kitchen with all of the appliances and cookwear to make great meals, toys at the dock, a canoe, a BBQ and smoker (which we had no idea how to do, but awesome if you do!). The property and amenities were very well thought out and easy to use. It was straightforward and exactly as advertised. I highly recommend a staying a week here for the classic cottage experience.

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the cozy cottage. The cottage itself is very clean and well appointed. All the comforts of home. The waterfront is a great place to spend the day, with the South West exposure there is all day sun. You can take the slow way into the water by walking in on the sandy bottom or jump in off the dock. The overall setting is private and quiet and easy access. Highly recommended, we would definitely go back.

Perfect Family Vacation
This was our first family vacation with our adult children, their partners and our grandchild and this wonderful property made it extra special. It was perfect. The cottage and bunkie were beautifully decorated with lots of space for everyone. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could want. The gentle slope to the water was easy on the legs and perfect for our 2 year old grandson. He had a wonderful time in the water and started the first steps to becoming a swimmer. He also enjoyed the games and toys available to him. The waterfront with the shade, Muskoka chairs, hammock, table and chairs, was a relaxing place to be during the heat of the day and the paddle boat provided entertainment. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.
