About this property

Countryside Retreat: Your Nature Escape

Welcome to the Little Barn at Oostema Farmstead
Looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of comfort? The Little Barn offers a cozy, rustic stay on our quiet 117-acre farm. With solid walls and a warm roof, it's the perfect way to enjoy the outdoors, without the tent.

Inside the Barn
You’ll find a comfy queen bed, wall heater, small fridge, and a counter with bar stools. A pitcher of water is provided for your convenience. We ask guests to bring their own bedding and towels for a true glamping feel. Need them provided? We can do that for $15.

Your Farmstead Experience
Step outside to your private fire pit and picnic table, and enjoy the quiet surroundings. You’ll have access to a portable toilet, outdoor shower and sink, and plenty of space to explore by foot or bike. Parking is just steps from the barn.

Farm Store & Hot Tub
Visit our on-site farm store for fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, and our pasture-raised Wagyu beef. After a day of relaxing or exploring, unwind in our year-round hot tub—just reserve your time using the link we’ll provide.

Nearby Adventures
We’re just a short drive from Lynden and Bellingham, full of shops, cafes, and local charm.

Policies to Note
The Farmstead is for adults only, no guests under 18. One well-behaved dog (under 50 lbs) is welcome for a $30 fee. Pets must stay supervised and away from our livestock.

To Book
To confirm your stay, include the code word “BYOB” (Bring Your Own Bedding) in your message. This shows you’ve read and understood the details.

We look forward to welcoming you to the farm for a stay that’s peaceful, private, and refreshingly simple.

Warmly,
Glen and Lisa

If you're a fan of Wagyu Beef, this amazing glamping experience is for you!!! The beautiful farm was surrounded by a hundred acres of corn and raspberry fields as well. Comfortable, and cozy accommodations.

What a Fantastic Camping Cabin!
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Camping Cabin and would highly recommend it for a tranquil and rejuvenating vacation. The experience was exactly as described – like camping, but with the comfort of a cozy bed. The serene woodland surroundings were delightful, and we relished relaxing in the charming wooden cabin. The Wi-Fi connectivity was outstanding, allowing me to do some work during my trip. Lisa and Glen were exceptional hosts, and we would eagerly return for another visit! We will be back!

Beware the bed didn't come with sheets....
The cabin is simple and clean. The farm is relaxing, however I was really disappointed that the Queen bed didn't come with bedding. For the price you pay, this should not be acceptable. We travelled from Canada, and didn't realize when booking that in the smaller print it says *bring your sleeping bags. We also didn't recieve the welcome email with all this information until the day of. We asked the property managers if they had any bedding on hand as we travelled form far and they said it was an additional $35USD. If we wanted to sleep in sleeping bags we would have camped. The reason we booked the room was for a proper bed. We ended up having to go to Target last minute and purchase sheets as it seemed ridiculous to pay $35 for sheets for one night. Ask most people if they've ever booked a room that didn't come with sheets and they'd likely agree that it's very odd.
