About this property
Intimate Hideaway - Tootie Creek House @ Koala Gully
Calling all adventurous souls! Prepare to unveil a hidden gem, just a hop, skip, and a jump (well, 90 minutes) away from Sydney.
Venture off the beaten path to Tootie Creek House @ Koala Gully. A modern home nestled among the eucalypts, in the heart of the majestic Wollemi National Park.
As you enter this haven, the humdrum of everyday life fades away, replaced by the symphony of chirping native birds and the company of quirky local creatures.
Thrill-seekers, nearby you'll discover an abundance of hiking and mountain bike trails, perfect for satisfying your yearn for adventure. Fancy some canyoning? Famous canyons are a scenic drive away. Oh, and did we mention the secret swimming hole?
Prepare for relaxation in our sanctuary, perched on a suspended slab that'll make you feel one with the trees and our resident koalas (if you're lucky enough to spot one). But don't fret, the kookaburras, wrens, king parrots and black cockatoos will keep you entertained with their melodious performances should koalas remain elusive.
Our fully-equipped, open-plan kitchen allows you to get creative with your culinary experiments, while the adjoining dining and living areas offer ample space to unwind. Let go of your worries as you plonk onto the comfy seating in front of our boutique fireplace during the cooler months. Why not indulge in a drink on the sandstone deck, a year-round oasis, where you can observe the whimsical birds fluttering among the trees?
Designed with sustainability in mind, our architectural marvel focuses on passive cooling, and thanks to the slow combustion wood fireplace, you'll snuggle up with warmth on chilly evenings. We're also proud to provide rainwater for all your needs as well as a composting septic system to ensure minimal food waste. Captain Planet would be proud.
Step out onto the sandstone deck at the back, and let the wilderness embrace you. It's the perfect spot to savour your morning brew or sip on something cool during the afternoon, all while indulging in the enchanting birdlife.
Both of our bedrooms boast dreamy queen-sized beds and offer views of the surrounding bushland. With blackout shutters to banish any lingering light, coupled with the serene ambiance of the bush, a restful slumber awaits you.
For the intrepid souls eager to embark on a hike, a stunning swimming hole awaits, just 3kms walk from the property. Prepare to dive into nature!
Access:
A short drive down the private road leads you to your home away from home. Parking is aplenty, right outside the house. Don't worry if your wheels aren't all-terrain; the unsealed road is a little bumpy, however still suitable for your trusty 2WD ride.
Our haven is nestled within 22 acres of mostly untouched bushland, seamlessly merging with the vastness of the Wollemi National Park. Feel free to unleash your inner explorer and set foot on this ancient land, where Koala Gully is only the beginning.
