About this property

Poppy’s Place, a beautiful family & pet friendly1920’s bungalow.

Poppy’s Place is named after our Bordercollie who loves this bungalow. This 1920’s bungalow has been recently renovated to meet the demands of families wanting to travel to the Barossa with their pets. Recent renovations have been completed to accommodate full access bathroom for people requiring additional elements for access. Shortly ramps and an additional drive way access will be installed to complete our dream of accommodating to all needs of our visitors to the Barossa. This has been a dream of mine and my husbands to have a beautiful home for all our guests to enjoy for more than 20 years.

Poppy’s Place has been designed for our guests and their pers to relax and make the most of the Barossa. If you enjoy being surrounded by art, easy access to the Main Street, adventure playgrounds, accessible cycle and walking pathways, Poppy’s Place will excite your senses plus each room has a selection of artworks from local artists.

Poppy’s Place is easy to walk to everything Angaston has to offer, and a short drive or bike ride to many Barossa favourite places such as fantastic restaurants, cafes, wine bars, pubs, playgrounds, shops and wineries. Or you can just sit on the front verandah or in the lush back garden and enjoy the picturesque surrounds. This bungalow has so much to offer, creating the perfect escape to the Barossa Valley.

With three large comfortable bedrooms, lounge with a sofa bed and a bay window which is the perfect spot to read a good book. A seperate office space which is private and has access to the verandah. The front verandah of the bungalow is where you can unwind and it overlooks the old trees of Angaston and the lush front lawn. Two newly renovated bathroom with a double shower head and a double vanity, a second full bathroom with a bath and shower is an addition to the new second master bedroom.

Poppy’s Place has up to date appliances, evaporative air conditioning, individual room heating system, WIFI, portable sound box, LED digital TV with Netflix, Stan and Dysney Plus Streeming services. The kitchen will delight you with the gas double oven and 4 burners. The adjoining butlers pantry comes with a coffee maker, a microwave, a large family fridge, toaster and dishwasher. Tea, coffee, milk and other kitchen essentials are supplied during your stay. A fire blanket is located in the cupboard next to the oven and a fire extinguisher is located on the pantry shelf. A seperate laundry will meet your every need with a washing machine, dryer, drying rack and steam iron . Cleaning equipment if needed is kept in the laundry too, plus a Dyson hand vacuum cleaner is located in the back hallway

In the back garden is a large outdoor undercover entertaining area with three wine barrels, a BBQ, cooking preparation space, chopping block and a large table with10 comfortable deck chairs. The exterior lighting and fans help keep you cool on those hot nights. The large rear lawn area has plenty of space to run around or play a few outdoor games which are supplied.

Regular cleaning is done with disinfectant products twice pre and post all bookings. Hand sanitiser is available on premises plus antiviral spray located under the sink in the butlers pantry and laundry.

Complete privacy with a magnificent look out from the front verandah for your morning coffee. Ideally set amongst the oldest houses in Angaston. Poppy’s Place is an easy walk to the main street amenities such as coffee shops, wine tasting rooms, popular restaurants, and more.

Poppy’s place is a newly renovated stone cottage with style and charm. This 3 bedroom luxurious bungalow was built in the late 1920's from marble quarried in Angaston for the manager of Elders. It has housed many Angaston families over its life and now open for visitors to enjoy and relax in.

Just amazing!
This property was hands down the most gorgeous place I have had the pleasure of staying in. The host was so lovely and the house had everything in it and even some little surprise that were a lovely touch and very welcome. It was a stunning back drop to our pre-wedding photos and a brilliant place to get ready in. I can highly recommend for a weekend away with family, friends or a longer stay ( if you are lucky enough to get away for a week or so). Thanks for allowing us to stay in this beautiful home away from home!

Perfect spot to explore the Barossa! So many thoughtful touches- as well as water/ treats/ toys for our two little westies!! we arrived on a very hot day and a/c was on which was so very much appreciated. Beautiful old home, well presented and well equipped, across from old church and so special to hear the choir practicing one evening.Very quite and peaceful, short walk to historic downtown - lovely walking trails with our dogs- would highly recommend and look forward to our next visit!

Great place and location
Well we go away pretty often and always trying to find something new to do and see. This place they have thought of everything. Nice spacious and secure back yard for the dogs, awesome covered outdoor area. Everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms. There is really nothing you have to do but enjoy the place. Highly recommend and probably in the top 3 of all places we have ever stayed at. The only thing I think would make it better is to fix the leaks between the pergola and door when it rains as you get soaked walking in and out the door and the outdoor chairs have seen better days otherwise fantastic.
