The Space:
This delightful loft at Plaza Paraiso is a nature lover’s dream! When you stay here you get some of the best that Playa del Carmen has to offer. So pack your bags and get ready for an unforgettable vacation in one of the top destinations in Mexico. The apartment has all the comforts of home and even a long-term stay is perfect because you won’t need a car at all, you can walk or bike to everything you’ll need!
The apartment features the following:
- A SITTING/LIVING AREA that has floor-to-ceiling windows, cushy seating, and a flatscreen Smart TV for spending downtime between activities. The main level of the space has a bathroom for convenience.
- A KITCHEN that’s fully equipped with all the appliances and utensils you’ll need to prepare a home-cooked meal. We didn’t forget the coffee maker for those morning perk-ups and a blender for healthy smoothies. The kitchen has a breakfast bar which is great for a quick bite or working on the laptop if needed.
- A DINING TABLE set to accommodate 4 guests comfortably so that you can enjoy any meal of the day. This can also double as a laptop-friendly workspace if needed.
- A king bed in the upstairs LOFT and a full bath perfect for 2 guests. The bedroom has A/C, a ceiling fan, and ample closet space to unpack and make yourself at home.

The Neighborhood:
The Plaza Paraiso condominium complex is located in downtown Playa del Carmen just a 5-minute walk from the beach and the very beginning of the famous 5th Ave that is lined with cafes, yummy eats, bars, incredible nightlife, loads of shopping, and really entertaining street performers! Located at the nearest beach to the apartment is the ferry that takes you to Cozumel in case you want to go exploring the island for the day which we recommend that you do! In the evenings, near the ferry terminal is Parque Fundadores where they put on an incredible Mayan show for FREE! You won’t want to miss it!
There’s so much to see and do around Playa -- everything from the beach and beach clubs, water sports like snorkeling, scuba, paddle boarding, eco-parks with underground rivers, ancient Mayan ruins, cenotes (natural sinkholes special to this area!), private yacht tours and fishing charters, golfing, day trips to Tulum or Cancun and more!

Getting Around:
The property is about 56.5 km | 35 mi from the Cancun International Airport (CUN). It’s best to pre-arrange your airport transfers. You can take the ADO bus and there are shared-ride and private vans as well as rental car options. Let us know if you need any assistance. We’d be happy to help!
There's a private underground parking garage, in the event you're arriving by car. Also, when you drive around in town be aware of where you park as you may be in a metered parking spot. In which case you'll need need to search for the meter to pay for your parking. The meters are in effect from Monday to Sunday, 10 am to 10 pm, except for official holidays. There are also public parking lots around town for a nominal fee by the hour/day. Luckily, however, the property is centrally located you won’t really need a car because everything is within walking distance. And for any activity further away, you can easily rent a bike, take a taxi, or go by ‘colectivo’ (shared-ride vans) to where you need to go.

Other Things to Note:
Please be aware that the building is currently undergoing construction. As a result, you may experience construction noise during business hours. Unfortunately, we do not have specific details on dates or times at this moment.
Potential for noise - The apartment is located downtown, so there could be noise from vehicles or people walking by during the course of the day.
Must climb stairs - In order to enter the apartment it’s necessary to use stairs since the condominium towers don’t have an elevator.
Parking is subject to availability and free access is only allowed by showing the parking card which you'll find inside the apartment.
Surveillance cameras are located on the property for safety and security.
Electricity is included for stays fewer than 28 nights. For stays of 28 nights or more, you’ll need to pay for electricity usage from day 1 of your arrival at $5 pesos/KWh consumed. The meter will be checked on the day of your arrival and again on departure. Please be conscientious of what you consume and always turn off lights and the AC before leaving as it consumes the most.
We provide essentials like toilet paper, soap, shower gel, shampoo, paper towels, trash bags, and dishwashing soap to get you started. Just note that these starter items are not replenished.
Additional services including baby equipment/crib is available for an extra charge with advanced notice.
Guests will be requested to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation.
A security deposit may be required prior to arrival or at check-in subject to the booking platform used to make the reservation. This fee is charged as a credit card transaction and refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met.
Pack 'n play are subject to availability, and there is an extra fee of $10 USD per night.
Lastly, long-term stays are available. There’s also a laptop-friendly space inside. Great for the remote worker!
HOUSE RULES
- Travelers must be at least 21 years of age or older to book.
- No smoking of any kind (tobacco or cannabis) is allowed in the unit. The use of any recreational drugs on the premises is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will incur a $300 penalty.
- No parties/events are permitted, illegal activity is prohibited, and excessive noise won't be tolerated. No loud music is allowed after 10 pm. Please be respectful of the neighbors.
- No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed.
- No tent or other structures may be set up on the ground of the property.
- Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or necessary extra-cleaning charges if needed after their visit.
- Renters may be required to provide a government ID on check-in day or during their stay.
- Please avoid moving furniture.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Please avoid hanging towels or clothes on the balcony/terrace railings.
- We ask that you please adhere to the rules of the condo complex during your stay. You’ll be required to acknowledge and sign upon arrival.
