The only thing is I called the property phone number and text the number about checking in a little early and I never got a response. That bothered me a bit. So we had to leave and come back.
Other then that it was nice.
It was an absolute PERFECT trip for my husband and I. Juts a 3 night 4 day getaway BUT it was the BEST trip we have had in a very long time. Beautiful cabin - Beautiful Country - When we walked into cabin I literally teared up - It was EXACTLY what was described and MORE !! Exactly what we needed !! The only thing was the HOT TUB LID - it was uneasy to keep up without falling - WE will definitely be back and will be bringing our kids and grandkids - Already looking into the next trip - Thank you so much for providing a BEAUTIFUL -PEACEFUL - RECHARGABLE setting !!!
It was a nice quiet little getaway for my husband and me. We brought our dogs and they enjoyed sniffing the woods around us. My husband and I kinda sunk into the middle of the bed and it was a little uncomfortable but the rest was nice.
We enjoyed our time at Hochatown! Cabin was clean and well equipped. Inside hot tub was great.
We were disappointed that the fireplace was locked. That was one of the main features I was looking for when we booked. It was too cold to enjoy the outside firepit. The only other negative I have is the mattress. It wasn’t horrible but we both rolled to the center! Other than that is was a good stay.
We enjoyed our stay immensely! Loved the cabin, the porches and the fire pit. My husband had a heart attack and we had to leave on Tuesday, Nov 9. We didn’t get to do all that we intended so we MUST go back!
We truly enjoyed our stay at The Haven and found it accommodating for just us married couple. The directions were easy to find the location and I love that it is just outside the state park.
We enjoyed a quiet weekend at The Haven. Hot tub was hot on arrival, enough clean linens for three days, ample kitchen supplies, and extra blankets. Helpful improvements might be to: add shades to the lights-seeing the bulbs made the light harsh and annoying at times; provide firewood; repair fireplace screen, add a lamp in the living area; add a power strip next to bed; replace bed frame-looked like it had previously been repaired making bed look slanted.
All in all we really enjoyed everything the cabin had to offer. We would stay here again. It’s not everyday that you find an indoor hot tub. ;-) Thank you.
The cabin overall is great. Perfect size for the 2 of us. However, the Kingsize bed needs a new mattress!! More than worn out!! Very uncomfortable. Huge sag in the middle. The Fireplace was great, but no fireplace tools to maneuver logs.
The cabin was great for a family of 4 (2 young kids). Very clean and comfortable. We really like how close it was to a lot of the Beavers Bend Park trails (5-10 min drive).
This cabin was exactly as advertised. The pictures are accurate. The cabin is centrally located between Broken Bow and Hochatown. Some observations for consideration:
1. The cabin is located at the top of a very steep, unpaved hill. I found this incredibly fun to traverse, and had no problems doing so in the lower gears of a midsize truck.
2. I kept wishing for more light in the cabin. Some of the light bulbs were out in the ceiling fixtures. One or two more small floor lamps would have done the trick.
3. The mattress and box springs need to be replaced! I left one day early because my back couldn’t take it anymore. LOL! When you sit or or lie on the bed, you fall into it, no support. And you get the sense both from looking at and being in the bed, that your feet are higher than your head. Lastly the sheet set should be upgraded and changed to white, not brown.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Location
Broken Bow Trip
Did not like the dirt/gravel road. The dust was bad. We would of cleaned up a little more before we left but there was no vacuum or broom to use. We would of clean out the fire place also but on way to do it. No closet for hanging clothes. Not sure we liked the hot tub next to the bed.
Enjoyable cabin and area. Only thing I can ask is if you say dogs allowed don't have notes saying keep pets off furniture. My dogs are part of the family thus they are allowed on the furniture.
Did not like the big hill in front of cabin other than that great

The Haven
The road to the cabin was washed out and very rough. The first night we had no hot water. It was repaired the next day. The foosball table had a leg broken off of it and was not usable. Other than that is was ok.

Cabin was great other than the bed. It was uncomfortable and very very squeaky.
If not for the squeaky uncomfortable bed I would have given it 5 stars.

Perfect get-away cabin for family of 4 with pets.
Loved our stay and the cabin was perfect. Nothing beats breakfast on the deck and evenings by the campfire. We'll be back for sure!
