About this property
Relax in Kaiuma Bay Waterfront Home
* Brand new *
A comfortable, modern holiday home with magnificent views across Kaiuma Bay and out to the Pelorus Sound, which can easily host small groups or 2 families to enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful location.
The property is situated in picturesque Kaiuma Bay which is accessible by road and by boat / water taxi from Havelock to the Kaiuma Bay jetty. Despite its idyllic 'getaway' location, it is only a scenic 30 minute drive to the village of Havelock where you can find cafes, restaurants, pubs, and the convenient Four Square supermarket.
The home is ideal for 2 families because it has a master bedroom with ensuite looking out in 2 directions across the bay, and a second large room with queen bed which also has views and is located next to the family bathroom and separate toilet. There are also 2 further bedrooms with single and bunk beds. The interior dining table seats 6-7, plus 4 bar stool seats at the kitchen island. The outside dining table comfortably seats 8 people. There are also 2 separate sitting areas - one for peace and quiet, or conversation, and one is a snug TV room.
The property is nestled beside a small stream and native bush to one side, which is home to bird life, including the local curious weka. (Families should note that the property is not fenced.) There is plenty of parking, an outdoor shower, and 3 single kayaks available for use, plus one small child kayak.
Walkable from the home, you will find the start of the Nydia Track and other bush or waterfront trails for walking / mountain biking. The property is just a 15-20min walk (or 1-2 min drive) from the boat ramp and jetty for easy boat or kayak launching, jumping off the jetty for a swim, or putting a line out to test your luck. Kayaks can also be launched from the waterfront reserve in front of the property at high tide. On those hotter days, there are streams and a swimming hole to cool off in.
If you need a break from relaxing in tranquility and fancy a day out, Kaiuma Bay is only 50-60 minutes from the Marlborough vineyards, and 1.5 hours from the vibrant city of Nelson.
CONDITIONS:
1. Cleaning bond - We visit our property regularly but are not local, and it is a rural area, so it is rented on a clean before you leave basis. Please ensure it is left as you found it for those staying after you, or the bond will need to be withheld to organise a cleaning service for our next guests.
2. Rubbish - Please take all rubbish and recycling with you.
3. Linen - Bed linen and towels are available for your use, but on the condition they are washed and dried before you leave. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own, or use a mixture of your own and ours. Please bring your own beach towels.
*Please note that as this is a new property, landscaping is not fully established.*
