We had a lovely week at the cabin. It really has the most amazing views. The place is thoughtfully designed to emphasize the serene surroundings. The furnishings were simple and comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped overall. The main level floors needed to be vacuumed when we arrived, but otherwise everything else was tidy and linens were fresh. We were a little disappointed that the boats listed were not available, but there was a paddle board and we enjoyed the lake very much. We also enjoyed local hikes and dining in nearby Magog. Cedric was so helpful and easy to communicate with before and during our stay. He promptly answered our questions and provided information about the area. It was a great getaway spot!
My wife and I came here to see the great eclipse of April 2024. We were very fortunate to have clear skies that day, and this was a secluded and quiet place to experience the two-hour darkening and lightening (with a stunning view of the surrounding landscape).
Beyond that experience, we found the house a very cozy and welcoming place to be together. Both the design and the decoration are restful, and the furniture is very comfortable for lounging. There are mountain views from pretty much any place in the house.
(Being there in late winter/early spring, our experience of the long series of unpaved roads leading up to the place was that they can be pretty rough--expect some bumps.)
Though we live on the West Coast, and Quebec is a long trip for us, we might come to Quebec again *just to stay here*. It's that good.
The pictures cannot do this lovely cabin justice. You are in a most peaceful, restful spot. Everything was prepared for our visit - thoughtful touches like water glasses on the bedside tables. Very well equipped kitchen and easy to find everything you need. The views, breezes, and birds made the deck our favorite place to be. Small town with small grocery store, wonderful patisserie and gas about 15-20 minutes away. We look forward to returning!
We had a wonderful experience in this charming mountainside log cabin. The views of the mountain range across the valley were stunning and the large windows framed the view beautifully. The cabin was comfortable, had everything we needed and felt like home. It was an easy drive to multiple ski hills and shopping.
