While our townhouse may be similar to others in the area, what sets it apart is the warmth and care we put into making it a comfortable and welcoming space. We focus on creating a cozy, clean environment where guests can feel at home. While it is not a beachfront property, the location is unbeatable—just minutes from local stores, beaches, and some of the island’s best spots, making it a great base for exploring Haida Gwaii.

Very nicely decorated three bedroom home in a cul de sac close to town. Grocery store, liquor store etc all walking distance.
House was well equipped. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Made our stay in Masset spectacular!
Kimberly offers a great space with all the amenities. It was convenient, clean, and comfortable. My first stay at a Vrbo and it was easy. Would gladly stay there again.
We felt at home the minute we walked in- every amenity you can name was at our disposal. The neighborhood was quiet and every local we spoke to or interacted with was super friendly and welcoming.
Our hostess was awesome as well, lots of great communication and recommendations of places to visit in the area. Highly recommend!
It was clean and cute. I messed up on the booking so made it scary to find a place to accommodate us for the last night. I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for the Haida Gwaii experience.
Our little family’s first visit to Haida Gwaii and we had a very nice stay at Maple House. It is conveniently located in the heart of Massett close to restaurants, grocery stores etc. House is well equipped and looks exactly like what you see in the pictures. Property host was very easy to talk to, accommodating and very responsive. The only suggestion I have is to include a hair dryer for your future guests. Overall, very happy and comfortable in Kim’s home and appreciated the artwork and decor in the house. Thanks for being a great host and having us in your home! 😊
Excellent location, well equipped place to stay! Lots of extras and very comfortable. There were 3 of us ladies, each with our own rooms. Lots of condiments, etc
Felt like home!

First trip to Haida Gwaii, May, 2023
We loved our visit to Haida Gwaii and visiting all the communities. The townhouse had everything we needed and is modern. However, the pictures of Maple House showed us a deck overlooking a sandy beach and being able to build a fire on the beach and this was not the case. We did not have a deck or a beach front house. We were inland.
Our stay was nice and quiet. We loved the restaurants and our favourite is the 626 Food Truck!
We felt very comfortable in Kim’s home and were impressed with the lovely artwork and pottery in the house-many vacay rentals are stark and have only the bare necessities-this one is very well-appointed. I totally appreciated that Kim made an exception and allowed my “over 20 lb.” dog.
Despite being fore-warned about the sticky front door opening-we had quite a difficult time getting in. When we finally sorted it, it was fine after that. Our 89 year old mother had a bit of trouble coming down the steep stairs but she managed by going down backwards.
The electric heaters and fireplace kept the place nice and toasty. The neighbourhood is quiet and neighbours were super friendly. We had a great stay and would totally stay again and recommend it as a great place for anyone else.
Had a very nice stay at Maple house while in Massett for work. House is very nice, nice location, walking distance to a wonderful restaraunt/pub, grocery store, etc. Check in was a breeze, and the communication with the property owner was stellar. Would definitely stay again!

Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because of its peaceful, community-oriented vibe. It’s a quiet cul-de-sac where everyone knows each other, which makes it feel like a true neighborhood. We love being so centrally located—within a 5-minute walk to stores and amenities. Plus, it’s just a short drive to beautiful spots like Cemetery Beach and North Beach (Tow Hill), where you can enjoy some of the best natural scenery on the island. It’s the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility!
