This was our annual golf trip to LaQuinta with friends & family. This house is gorgeous & has a beautiful view of the Greg Norman golf course & mountainsPlace was in good working order.Only complaint was there were piles of trash in the garage when we arrived. The trash stunk & we ended up taking it out ourselves but was overlooked. Also sent message to management company about it without a response.Very comfortable living space & casita
House very nice and very clean. The kitchen utensils were slightly less adequate than those available in the VRBO we used last Thanksgiving. The response from the VRBO office when we needed something fixed (for instance the igniter on the grill) was quite good and they came within 2 hours to repair it.

Disappointing unfortunately
While this is a beautiful home with a fantastic layout for a family vacation, unfortunately it has many issues that the owners and property managers need to address before continuing to rent out. The most egregious is they have indoor tile around the pool which is extremely slippery and therefore incredibly dangerous. There is a sign on the slider which warns the floor is slippery when wet but it is in fact SO SLIPPERY that we could not enjoy the pool. I have two children slip and hit their heads/face. This was with us all being extremely careful, like to the point of almost crawling. I tried to put mat and towels all over but it was so bad you couldn’t avoid the problem. You’re basically ice skating on it, it is not outdoor patio flooring. None of the other friends staying in the area had this issue. The flooring must be replaced.
Additional issues: no batteries in 75% of the like fifteen TV remotes and zero instructions on how to use any of them (or house instructions whatsoever). They did send someone with batteries but no instructions on how to use the sound system or TVs (of course eventually we got the Tv working).
Air conditioning went out first full day in all but casita and primary bedroom with 95 degree weather. They did send someone out who was able to fix part of it but my kids couldn’t sleep in the bedrooms two out of three nights and had to sleep all in the primary room.
The Cabo style door featured open in the photos does not in fact work/open. There was no way to turn on the ceiling fan in the primary room.
There was also an issue with cleanliness. My husband and a friend had to clean the patio themselves because it was so dirty that when it got wet there was mud everywhere. I also kept pulling extremely dirty dishes out of the cupboard.
This house has such potential but it’s as if it’s been forgotten about and the owners are really dialing it in. This is not reflected in the price which is unfair. Our other friends who rented on the street had homes which had been updated and everything functioned properly. We ended up just using their pools. The stay was disappointing.
Owner allowed us to delay our stay 2 years with the Coachella cancellations - super accommodating

False advertisement
The house is beautiful but, the pictures and descriptions that are included on the site are misleading. The house needs repairs. The side guest house had a water leak, and there was a puddle of water on the carpet! The main house door that we’re supposed to open to the pool did not work, and had a note attached stating do not open! The pool lights did not work and the jacuzzi heater did not work! There is obviously some electrical issues with the pool! The Maintenance man left tools and supplies in the yard. Previous guest left beer cans in flower pot. One of the chairs on the patio were broken. Then pull out bed was also broken. For the amount of money we paid to rent this house, we shouldn’t have experienced this many problems. This house is definitely false advertisement :(. Especially when you show pictures of the variety of amenities that don’t even work!
Carpet in bedrooms was dirty and had stains. The dishwasher was difficult to get to work, probably because of a faulty installation. I say that because there was a box in the garage with the old unit. Garage door openers were not provided. the window walls leading to the outdoor space and the pool were difficult to operate, had screws missing and had a metal plate added to one end that was an attempt to prevent it from opening. If the listing would have said they did not work it would have been understandable but the pictures showed the doors open and was a feature that we thought was important when renting the house. There were multiple ceiling fans in the house and only one of them worked and it only on a very slow speed. The entry way to the house had a plant that was in serious need of water and a fountain/water feature that obviously had not been used or maintained for quite a while. The people at Five Star Vacation Rentals were very helpful with the rental, communications about check in, and helping with getting security gate passes for our dinner guests.
