Over the years I have booked rentals through VRBO over a dozen times in the Cape Coral area, this property is by far the worst we have every stayed in.
Access to the house is dated compared to most, still using lock box compared to most places having a key pad on the door.
Upon entry into the house you are greeted with a very strong smell of mildew.
We tried to get the ceiling fans running to circulate some airflow, the remotes for the ceiling fans did not work, the one in the master bedroom did work, however the fan had a loud clanging noise which was annoying.
The mattress in the master was terrible, one half was completely collapsed.
On the Lanai, the cushion covers for the furniture were covered in stains and mold, after contacting Roelens (the management company) it took 3 days to have someone come and look at them, amongst other things. Cigarette buts on the paving stones beside the dinning table, generally everything in the Lanai area was extremely dirty. As we were planning on BBQ that evening I went to check the propane, I opened the front door of the BBQ and the door fell off, the propane tank was empty. The BBQ utensils were inside the BBQ, they were so rusted and dirty that no way you would touch them with any food you were going to eat.
The thermostat for the AC did not work, only way to control the temperature was to turn it off occasionally, morning temperature in the house was 66 degrees.
Dishwasher ran but didn't clean dishes properly,
