The Stench will leave you Sleepless!

The Stench of bad plumbing?!, cigarettes, bile will leave you sleepless in Kitchener. The Host knows about this lingering, vile odour, as she has plugged in air fresheners throughout the rental. Couldn't sleep the first night because of the putrid scent. Had to open all the windows and have noisy bathroom fans running to be able to breathe. Bought my own air fresheners the next day to be able to have a place to sleep for my trip. Plumbing in bathrooms does not work, which adds to the horror of this place. Stay at a hotel for a clean, scentless trip, is my advice. Definitely my worst VRBO rental, ever.

Great host, but not a great place

The property was a bit off-putting with all sorts of garbage stored outside the front door. The host was receptive to removing it when I asked but during our stay, other tenants from an apartment in the basement of the house continued to put loose garbage out in the heat. The house wasn't appropriately equipped for 6 guests as there was limited glassware and kitchen supplies. There also wasn't the normal thoughtful additions of shampoo in all showers or hand towel in the powder room. Only one dish towel was provided. The host was very receptive and did a good job cleaning the inside of the property before we got there, but it had the feeling of being more of a party-stay type location for younger people. However, we were glad to get something as the place we had booked in Stratford had canceled at the last minute and we couldn't find a place large enough for us all at the last minute in Stratford. The host really was receptive and punctual and that was helpful.
