Enjoy a Winter visit for the weekend or the whole week.
Come to enjoy the Winter fun! Lots of snow to go downhill or nordic skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling or tobogganing in the back yard. BVSC is 15 minutes away; Blue Mountain is 40 min. drive and Nordic skiing is 5 min. Or, if you prefer to just relax, cozy up on the comfortable couches overlooking the lake and enjoy the warmth of the fireplace. Catch up on your favourite read or movie and take time to make a delicious meal in the gourmet kitchen. The crock pot is perfect for those delicious winter dinners!

The chalet is beautifully styled with just the right mix of rustic and modern finishes. The Great Room boasts vaulted pine ceilings and the large patio doors access the spacious deck overlooking the serene lake. You'll find premium amenities throughout the chalet for your comfort and enjoyment.

In the vaulted, pine ceiling Great Room, you'll enjoy a 65" smart TV, high speed internet, and a warm and inviting fireplace. It is outfitted with very comfortable new couches that look out onto Irish Lake.

The bright and charming gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with all the dishes, utensils and appliances you'll need to prepare your favourite meals. Live edge wood countertops are an organic touch, while the coffee bar offers an extra sink and Keurig coffee machine. An expresso/latte machine is also availble to prepare your favourite cup or try an assortment of teas that are offered as well.

The main level offers a bedroom with a queen bed, and another bedroom has 2 twin beds. Both have vaulted pine plank ceilings and are conveniently situated adjacent to a full bathroom. The luxurious king bed is located in the large loft bedroom, along with a three-piece ensuite bathroom and generous closet. All the bedrooms have new premium mattresses, cotton sheets, duvets, blankets and pillows for a restful sleep. Blackout curtains offer you the luxury of sleeping in at your leisure.

There is a large closet in the front hall for storage as well as a cedar panelled mudroom at the side entrance with lots of storage room for all your gear.

Winter brings a wonderland of activities! Ski at numerous hills close by, or perhaps you're interested in cross-country skiing, tobogganing, ice fishing or snowshoeing. Snowmobile trails are nearby as well.

In the warm summer months, enjoy outdoor activities and games at the chalet. For fun on the lake, the dock is at the end of the driveway. Try one of the paddle boards, kayak or pedal boat. If you enjoy fishing, only electric motor boats are allowed, so it's peaceful and quiet.
Golf enthusiasts will be happy to find a great selection of 25 courses within a 30 km. radius!
Numerous cycling routes offer a wonderful way to enjoy the picturesque scenery.

A large side and backyard offer plenty of room for outdoor games, and enjoying dinner outside.
Follow the forest path to the large backyard that's great for all kinds of games and a bit further is the fire pit at the back of the yard. It's perfect for toasting your s'mores and campfire stories!

Fall is a great time to explore local waterfalls, charming antique shops, farmer's markets, and tour interesting local art galleries. Try out the local trails or the Bruce Trail for invigorating hikes through the beautiful landscapes.

If you're seeking the fall colours or a revitilizing spring escape, our chalet welcomes you year-round.

The small communities of Markdale and Flesherton are only 10 minutes away and offer a good array of shops, art galleries and dining options. There is a new Foodland in Markdale for groceries, premade meals or catering with delivery. Several other establishments offer wonderful take-out meals options.

A new EV charging station is now in Flesherton (10 minutes away)

For additional day trips, Collingwood and Owen Sound are both within a 45 minute drive.

Conveniently located, less than 2 hours from both western GTA and southwestern Ontario, the chalet is an ideal setting for a couples retreat and family getaways. The scenic drive is both easy and enjoyable.
