Lovely, very clean cottage! Fully stocked kitchen, outdoor BBQ and a nice picnic area on the deck. Comfortable beds and cool decor! Wish swimming off the dock was more accessible but we knew what we were booking (the main dock is in some reeds but there is a floating dock further out) - would probably be great for fishing! Canoe and row boat available to putter around in or access the floating dock. Would definitely go back!
We spent a weekend at Mary's cottage to celebrate my birthday. Upon checking in, we were greeted by a complimentary bottle of wine with a birthday card, and that just kicked things off perfectly. The cottage is genuinely even more beautiful in person - with the blend of rugged and modern interior design philosophies having our entire group admiring the house. A perfect fit for 6 people, with a great large deck that can host all sorts of dinner parties (BBQ available), with a massive backyard property that rolls down to your private section of water. They also provide a canoe and rowing boat that we took out to take a dip in the lake. Make sure you come armed with bug spray. To say that we forgot we had lives back in the city during our stay is an understatement. Come to relax, unwind, and refresh! Thank you for hosting us!!
We had a great time. The cottage was beautiful, area peaceful and relaxing. Our host was easy to reach out and helpful. We took advantage of the board games as one day was raining- it was nice to disconnect from the internet and spend some time as a family. We highly recommend the cottage ( and Mary our host) and we will be coming back for sure.

About the host
Hosted by Mary D
We are a Toronto based family, this cabin is our happy place. As soon as you turn off Highway 7 and down Pine Point Road you can exhale and let your break begin. Even a weekend is enough to unwind and forget the busy city and stress of work and recharge. We love travelling and are originally from England so have decided to share the cabin when we are away. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
This area is so fabulous with so much to do year-round. Situated on Lake Moira, this is an anglers paradise, you can launch a boat from the Boat Slip in town or take out our canoe - the lake is famed for Muskies! It's quiet and peaceful and full of wildlife, but a short drive away there are all the amenities of Madoc. If you are staying for longer we enjoy driving to Prince Edward County for a day or visiting Sandbanks Provincial Park. We love walking year-round at nearby O'Hara Mills or enjoy a game of golf at West Highland Golf Course. It's also close to the Trans Canada Trail if you enjoy Snowmobiling.
What makes this property unique
Included is BBQ, indoor games, trampoline, boules, 2 person canoe, inflatable rowing boat (which can be used to swim from out in the lake), as assortment of adult and children's lifejackets, dock and swimming platform.
