Self Renovated Antique House with Dog Run Sauna / Awaji Hyōgo
We did our best when renovating this house to preserve the look and show the traditional Japanese mud walls and beams that are special to a minka house The doors windows and switches are early 19th century antiques from England and along with the revamped tatami room and goemon bath you will feel like you have slipped back in time The backyard is fully enclosed with a hot stone pizza oven gas BBQ and fire pit so you can enjoy the day in your own private sanctuary / AKIYA cornerstone Escape the hustle and bustle of the Japanese city and experience life in a small island farming community Surrounded by rice paddies our selfrenovated Japanese Minka House is a mix of Japanese traditional mud walls fitted with early 19th century English windows and doors Take a walk through the village and you will glimpse life as it once was and at the top of the mountain you will be greeted by a panoramic view of the islands west coast
