I took my extended family for an escape to my favourite vacation location and it did not disappoint! It was exactly what I wanted. Fully equipped kitchen, room for all to sit and dine. Room to relax! A great lakefront with all the lake toys you would want. My grandkids loved it!
This property is lovely and as listed. The home has above average finish and style. The benefits are the dock, many nice sitting areas outside and in, the games room, awesome fire pit, very comfortable beds and linens, the well set up kitchen and 2 fridges! The only things we didn't like were the feeling the outdoor security cameras were always on us, and although it may seem minor, all the salt and pepper shakers were empty!
Excellent location for active, fit folks of all ages due to number of stairs to the water.
So much to do inside and out! Be prepared for bugs and water shoes recommended for swimming and using the slide.
Inside was comfortable, spacious and plentiful with kitchenware, towels, blankets, pillows, etc.
The cottage exceeded all our expectations. It was comfy and had a homey feeling to it. There were lots of spaces for everyone to work if they had to but also a large enough living space for us to gether communally.
We loved our stay there!!
We enjoyed our stay at Serendipity. The cleaning people were still there when we arrived and the floors were wet. All the recycle bins were full and down at the end of the driveway. It was extremely frustrating that we had to drive our trash and recycling to Port Carling which was over 35 minutes away.
Absolute killer time. Cannot express enough how wonderful this cottage is.
My fiancé and I were visiting toronto and we brought his Australian family with, as I wanted to show them what a Canadian summer at the cotty was like.
They absolutely felll in love with the place and want to come back already!! This cottage has everything you need, whether that’s relaxing or enjoying the outdoors. They fell in love with the place so much they’re looking at buying their own cottage.
Thank you so much to the host, the kitchen was fully stocked with any and all appliances and utensils you could imagine, it even has AC!
10/10 cannot recommend this place enough.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Serendipity. A beautiful red fox greeted us as we unloaded the car. Then down at the water a loon swam right in front of the dock. That evening as we were relaxing outside on the deck a friendly chipmunk named Theodore ate peanuts from our hands. This is clearly a place where humans and wildlife feel completely at home. The water around the dock is deep enough for swimming and docking a boat. There is a marina right around the corner for filling up with gas. We used plenty on beautiful lake Muskoka, fishing, sightseeing, and dragging the kids around on the big inflatable tube. The inside space is also wonderful. A beautiful kitchen for cooking, a large dining table, pool table, ping-pong table, and foosball. There was plenty of space where the whole family could be together, but there were also many small spaces to read or have a private conversation. The worst part about staying at a place this beautiful is having to leave at the end of the week. Still, I'm sure the memories made here will last a lifetime. Thank you Maryanne for a wonderful Muskoka holiday!
One word: impressive. Marryanne's cottage is a real jaw-dropper, inside and out. As an active and varied group of eight, including rambunctious kids, hard-to-please teens and parents looking for an escape from the big city, I don't think you'll find a more perfect get-away than this cottage. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need and more, blenders, toasters, espresso makers galore. Rooms were spacious. Kids loved the bunk beds. Downstairs in the basement is a lovely gaming get-away with foosball and billiards and ping pong and consoles and more ways to occupy yourself indoors than we could count. Outside, you're slapped in the face with an epic view of the lake situated waaaaay down numerous flight of steps. If you have elderly or members of the fam with breathing issues, the grandiose flight of stairs could present an issue. There's a lovely circular campfire area surrounded by rustic Muskoka chairs. Fire ban eliminated that for us, but I can imagine when its lifted that area would be tons of marshmallow-ing fun. Down further to the dock and you have access to a FLEET of floatation devices, from canoes to SUP to paddle boats to kayaks to a plethora of life vests in all sizes. The lake is, as you already know, the real show stopper here. Just dazzling.
