Charming renovated cottage in an excellent location .Our experience would be improved by attention to detail .The mattress protector should be changed between guests and supplies should be checked , such as hand soap , dishwashing detergent, basic supplies were absent such as oil for cooking and milk There were no paper towels or tissues , the light globe in the laundry was blown and there was a mouse under the stove .All that being said , the sunset was amazing and having fresh oysters on the deck with bubbles was a decadent experience. We would definitely be returning.
Highly recommend for proximity to the town centre and waterfront. Property was well furnished and clean and we would stay again if coming back through Streaky Bay.
Beautifully appointed cottage that backs onto the bay for perfect sunset views. We had everything we needed with easy access to shops and cafes nearby. Chad was very helpful and we would definitely recommend a stay here in Streaky Bay.
Beautifully appointed, spacious and comfortable inside. Awesome views from the deck as it backs on to Streaky Bay. Convenient to everything in town. Stair access to the water out the back where we could watch rays swimming around (though rocky so not for swimming).
Location on one of the prime streets of Streaky make this one of those stayz, you park the car and never need to use it (excluding the exploration and tourist drives of course). The view is awesome and the steps to the water (wear surf shoes) makes it as close to the bay as you can get. Most of the basic stuff you might need is there, but remember to pack your shampoo, milk and soap. Just a minute's walk to the seafood shop and the takeaway van made it way too tempting to fish yourself. And almost as close but the opposite of the road the service station has the free shark museum and indian food done really well.
We stayed in Summer school holidays so the town was absolutely buzzing with people - which was not particularly what appealed to us, because the pub is booked out days in advance for dinner in the dining room and it is pretty noisy. But for those who like the atmosphere it was buzzing. This house is an older style home with high ceilings and jarred floorboards and completely self sufficient for the stay. The house is very minimalist, which is actually a compliment, because it allows you to pack a few things away or dump your bag on the floor if that is your style. Just was an easy holiday and a great location very much within the heart of the township but also absolute waterfront. You do pay a premium price (particularly for two) but then that is the price needed to get such a great little place like this.
