About this property
Cottage in the City
Live every day like you are at the cottage,
In a walkable urban location.
Private backyard garden - in a park. Birds, nature, even an occasional BBQ, just like at the cottage.
Public Tennis Courts, Splash Pad, 40 acres of Cedarvale Park to explore.
This family home has gorgeous light all day long. The north side faces green-space.
It takes 10-12 minutes to walk to the Eglinton West Subway Station and 15-20 to walk to St. Clair Ave (Corso Italia) for some of Toronto's best ice cream at Bar Ape, or for fresh baked goods, butchery, pescador, and groceries.
The Laundry is modest but effective, and in the basement.
The European Kitchen is functional with great light.
The ravine and natural ventilation make this place comfortable, and is best suited to people who do not prefer air conditioning.
The White Steel Roof keeps the top floor from solar heat gain, and windows handle cross ventilation. Fans are on hand.
Kitchen: "It Reminds Me of Grandmas House - with Skateboards"
said a previous guest. The fridge is an under counter built in, European style. We do this to be green and to be conscious of our food waste. The Stove is a 4 Burner Gas cooktop, with a powerful and loud range hood that must be used when cooking. There is a toaster oven that is perfect for cooking lasagna from the Marchelaria.
Soak in the clawfoot tub. Just by yourself. Quiet.
