Only one block from Main Street and the Old Edwards Inn, this five bedroom house has a unique mix of modern and mountain and is wonderful for large groups or multiple families. Floor to ceiling windows and a huge back porch look over Harris Lake and Satulah Mountain. On the ground floor there are two luxury suites separated by a living room. Each suite has two bedrooms and a full bathroom. Upstairs there's a large great room perfect for gathering. A fireplace, dining table for ten, modern kitchen, powder room, master suite with dual vanities, freestanding tub and shower and a massive covered deck round out the second floor. Great House in Downtown Highlands

House was perfect for our entire family. Proximity to downtown highlands is a big plus. The lake was very nice. House is appointed with every thing we needed. House is beautiful!

Incredibly tasteful home in ideal location

We stayed at this property for the Highlands F&W festival and couldn’t have asked for a better house. I have rented many homes before so I have a baseline of what to expect, this house exceeded! Great mix of antiques and quality pieces, not cheap rental furniture. The layout is ideal especially with multiple couples as each group can have their own “wing”. We loved turning the fire on each morning and making breakfast while staring out at the pond. Location can’t be beat if you want the walk to town option without being IN town. Right by mountain fresh grocery which made for easy coffee runs. Also super close to the botanical garden and nature center which we did with kids. Plenty of towels and hangers too which is always so nice when traveling. We had one issue where I needed to contact Laird and she was not only extremely responsive but also considerate and helpful! We look forward to renting again!

Cannot wait to return to this beautiful property!

We were not able to enjoy this lovely home for long, due to the hurricane, but hope to visit again soon. The location is absolutely perfect, an easy walk into town, but set far enough away that it is private and quiet. A great layout for a large group of friends, with a big screened in porch that would be perfect for relaxing in the morning, or after a day out. Laird was a wonderful host and we hope to come back and try again.

Bridal Party Fun

Wedding Weekend

A perfect place for my family to stay for the four days of my daughter’s wedding weekend at The Farm at Old Edwards. Very comfortable space and great deck area. The 2-minute walk to the downtown area made it easy take advantage of the shopping and restaurants.

Perfect location and gathering spot for friends!

We recently celebrated a friend’s birthday in the Highlands, and this home could not have been more perfect! Plenty of beautifully decorated bedrooms, spacious and comfortable living room, and adequately stocked kitchen. The views from the deck were wonderful, the neighborhood was quiet, and the best part was that we could walk everywhere within minutes. We parked our cars and didn’t need them all weekend. Thank you for sharing your awesome home!

Wonderful all around property. Great versatility.

Very comfortable, stylish and perfectly located for any events at or around Old Edwards Inn. Well furnished and great for all kinds of groups - families of all ages, couples and friends. We had a large group and everyone had ample space. It was perfect for us.

Wonderful Highlands Stay

We stayed for a long weekend for our son's wedding at the Old Edwards Inn. This home was absolutely perfect. One block from the Old Edwards in and downtown, beautiful location next to Harris Lake, and clean and well stocked. The main floor is roomy, comfortable, and filled with exterior light. We (Laird&Matt) have been coming to the highlands for over 20 years. Being Atlanta residents we love the cool weather and laid back attitude of the mountains.

Why they chose this property

We walked by this property for years and always thought it would be the perfect place to build a home. It is on a lake, has amazing views of the mountains and is only one block from Main Street and Old Edwards Inn! It really has it all. We never would have imagined we'd be able to acquire the property, and when we did we set out on a two year journey to design and build a perfect place for extended families to gather.

What makes this property unique

We love that we can park our cars for the weekend and just relax. We can look at the lake and the mountains and then walk to Main street in a less than a minute. We designed the house so that two families could each have two bedrooms and a bath and then a couple could stay up in the master bedroom. Everyone gets an equally great place to stay.
