This was an amazing place we hosted our work crew and ourselves. Nice and clean place with all the essentials. The drive way is great with lots of space at the front entrance. The view was amazing and is nice and close to the lake and town.
The hosts were very kind and quick with communication. All questions were answered and very accommodating with our requests.
Highly recommend.

The Nest
Older home is well-maintained and in good condition. A bit musty and the porch smells like febreeze, probably from previously being wet or from previously having pets, although it's dry now and there are no pets allowed.
The stone steps to the beach are nice a bit sketchy for the young or old, as they are a bit unlevel, a bit loose, and quite steep.
The beach is in front of the neighbour's lot and, although technically open to public access below the high-water mark, it was uncomfortable when they were present. Does the right to public access below the high-water mark allow anyone to use someone's dock? Maybe, but most people wouldn't try to.
The hosts allowed our friends to bring their dogs (responsibly) into the yard, so we very much appreciated that so we could hang out with friends we seldom get to see.
The hosts were accessible and responded quickly to our questions.
We spent an awesome week in Crawford Bay. What an amazing spot! The house is an older property but has been decorated and furnished really well. Loads of amenities and the kitchen was so well stocked. Even an ice cream scoop :) The deck and the view over the lake was an awesome way to start and end our days. Lots of thoughtful extras like life jackets and kayaks to use during the stay. You can literally walk down steps to the lake from the garden and get straight in and paddle. Loads of cool spots to explore. We took our two boys and they had a blast finding beaver dams down the waterway and paddling to other beaches and naming them and exploring. You feel like you have the whole place to yourselves. The bay itself is really shallow for quite a way out so the kids were really safe and able to play lots. They also enjoyed eating blueberries from the trees in the garden.
Crawford Bay is a very cool town, some cute shops and Reds is an amazing cafe. You’ll come away with a box full of pastries. We also had dinner at The Hub in their beer garden and would recommend.
We went to Nelson for a trip too - the ferry is a 10 minute drive away and it was a really easy day out.
The Nest has an incredible beach with warm(er) water and boat activity is very minimal as I think we only saw 4 boats all week. More seclusion comes with different pros/cons.
House
Positive:
-An older house with some upgrades they have completed, you are on the main level as the basement looks like they are in the process of completing. Very well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen along with a little goodie basket when you arrive. The living room has a nice big window looking out at the lake and mountains. The covered patio was a good size and great for all meals or just to play a bard game on.
Negative:
-The temperature while we were there was in the mid 30’s. The house was extremely hot which made it tough to sleep, a couple ceiling fans would go along way.
-The house had a smell to it that was kind of a wet dog/mildew smell. Once I as in there for awhile I didn’t notice it but the kids and wife said they could constantly smell it.
Location
Positive:
-Very private, no neighbors in sight.
Negative:
-It is a longer walk than advertised to town and would be mainly uphill on the way back, wouldn’t be the best walk for kids.
Beach
Positive:
-Water was warm, sandy for the most part. Nice and shallow so you do not have to worry about the kids.
Negative:
-The rock stairs to the beach are steep and had to manage for young kids. Taking the kayaks up and down is very challenging.
-Grab some water shoes if you like to explore
