Great host, inaccurate description of accommodations.
We had a great experience with the main host Pearl. The description of the float house was missing some critical details that would have changed our decision to book.This is NOT located at the Tofino Marina as the address describes. There is a 20 per trip additional fee to come and go from the float house that wasn't communicated to us until we were checking in. Parking is at the marina for an additional 15 per day. The toilet and shower are outside which would be fine in the summer, but less than ideal for our visit during a cold storm and with a 5 yr old. Bring a mirror if you would like to see yourself before going out... Try and get Pearl's direct contact right away to avoid dealing with Joel as he seems to only care about securing a booking and is not concerned with communicating useful and necessary info to guests.

We had a great time; the sunset was amazing; it really is on an island!; we met nice other guests; it is a one room holiday flat; we stayed there with five persons; we used the existing gas barbecue and made some burgers; you need coffee powder!! In brief everything you would like to eat and drink you need to bring with you ; there was no direct Wifi (the neighbour kindly provided his access)

A fun experience staying of strawberry island! Amazing hosts, clean houses, comfy beds, and they offer the best fishing tours!

A sweet retreat on Strawberry Island
My three (young adult) kids and I stayed in the Yellow Cabin on Strawberry Island for a few days at the end of August 2023. We really enjoyed ourselves. As a houseboat, it was a delightfully unusual place to stay, and the sights and sounds in the harbour were fascinating and constantly changing. We saw plenty of fish and birds, and also witnessed float planes taking off multiple times. There was never a dull moment. The cabin itself was well equipped, and we were treated very well by the property manager, Pearl, and her daughter. We thoroughly enjoyed our boat rides to and from the mainland with them. The only advice I'd give a future guest who's visiting in the summer is, don't be stupid like me and leave the doors open. There are plenty of mosquitoes around and you'll spend the evening slapping and cursing. Overall, we had a great visit and would love to return.
