Very Private, Secluded, Wildlife, No Neighbors!
ALGONQUIN WOLF CABIN.
HIKE-IN &/or FREE shuttle access only:
this rustic solar cabin has it's own private hiking trail that winds up to your stunning view of Golden Lake; a "backyard" of old growth oak and large rocky outcrops are yours to wander.
Cabin includes a propane fireplace, queen bunk bed, bbq with propane, covered deck, picnic table, gazebo, and fire pit.
See our website for special packages to make your getaway hassle-free: Gear, Bedding &/or Cabin Couples. 2 bags of firewood-$10.
The space
A furnished one room cabin with propane fireplace, solar lighting, queen bunk bed and private deck view of the Bonnechere Valley. Includes your own BBQ with side burner and propane, campfire pit, picnic table, outhouse with seasonal running water.
The forest and ponds of the escarpment provide wildlife viewing year round especially in the winter for the whitetail deer migration. Don't forget your camera! Seasonal solar shower by the cabin.

-5 gallons well water, not tested~ more upon request

-kitchen gear
-seasonal hiking footwear, trails have muddy areas.
-light coloured, long sleeve shirt and pants and/or insect repellent (June & July are peek bug months)
-extra drinking water
Guest access
Campers enjoy access to a escarpment picnic area which is breathtaking for autumn leaf viewing, as well as marked hiking/snowshoeing trails including a trail that leads to a small lake with canoes reserved for cabin guests. Bring a field guide along on a hike to help you identify plants and wildlife--available in your cabin.
Other things to note
Our forested nature TRAILS are mostly rugged with seasonal wet areas. The escarpment has steep drops in places; please keep an eye on your children!
Quality hiking shoes or boots for your hike are strongly advised.
LATE MAY-JULY is our main mosquito season. Insect repellent, pants with long sleeve shirt and bug jacket is recommended. ***Biting insects are attracted to dark clothing.
CELL SERVICE available: cabins are located close to a cell tower.
