A decent place to stay
We stayed in this condo for a week during a visit to Bethel. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The rest of the unit was fine--we were comfortable. It's "dated" & could use a few updates (like carpet), but it was OK for our week. We had the PASSSWORD for the wifi but had to contact the property mgr to find out which network we were supposed to use, as it wasn't listed in the unit. The biggest issue we had was that the listing stated there was a fireplace. There WAS a fireplace, but it was basically inoperable. No wood, no fireplace tools, not even gas logs. This would have been a deal breaker for us had we known. I reached out to the property manager who was VERY responsive to any of my texts. He stated the listing should not have mentioned a fireplace. He was willing to reimburse us for any firewood we bought, & he offered to buy the necessary tools. We elected to make-do with our situation. He was not able to reach the unit owners but he did offer a $100 "credit" at a restaurant of our choosing in town, which was a kind offer. Unfortunately, it was impossible to take him up on it. There were SO many events happening in the area that weekend (Jeep Jamboree, Nat'l Wife Carrying contest) that every restaurant was extremely busy & required a reservation. We spent every day of our trip traveling throughout the area & it was impossible to know when/where we'd be at dinner time. I had hoped for a $100 refund instead, but nothing. I will find another place next year
