First stay at Marbella
We originally booked a unit on the 11th floor of Tower 4 with all of the things we didn’t have with this unit. Six months prior to our arrival Marbella told us the unit we booked was no longer available, and they booked us into this unit instead. The unit had a good view of the pool, beach, and ocean from the balcony, it also had kitchen utensils that were usable (pans, plates, cups, a small amount of Tupperware). It had a switch that you could turn on and off to get hot water therefore saving electricity because you didn’t need to heat hot water all the time. It had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The refrigerator worked and there were 4 ice cube trays. There were hangers in the closet. You could get 5-gallon water jugs right across the street and that was easy to walk to. The rental came with weekly cleaning. It had ceiling fans in both bedrooms. It had a nice grey nicknack shelf in the living room that we used for storage because it lacked space in the kitchen. It had ample drawer space in the main bedroom and had side lamps. It had comfortable dining chairs for the patio. It had a desk in the hallway next to the kitchen that I could set up my computer on. The things that were not so good were: It had tubs in the bathrooms instead of walk-in showers. It didn’t have a king-size bed and we needed a king-size bed. It didn’t have an oven. It didn’t have a fan in the living room or patio. It didn’t have a working ceiling fan in the main bedroom that could be used without turning on the lights. It had low to the ground furniture in the living room, patio and bedroom that was barely used by us because it was hard to get out of because it was so low to the ground. The Wi-Fi extenders for the bedrooms had to be fixed and didn’t work until our stay was half over. The cookware in the kitchen seemed to be old and very used. The plates and cups were mixed and didn’t match. There were no pictures on the walls, so it didn’t feel beachy or homey, it was plain feeling not inviting. The pillows for the beds looked like they were old and musty. Two of the pool towels were actually bath towels and none of them matched. The microwave only had two buttons that worked. The water heater had to be replaced as it was leaking when we arrived. Marbella is withing walking distance to most restaurants and a few markets.
