About this property
Vermont House ~ Daylesford/Macedon Region
Vermont House | 4 Bedrooms | 2 Bathrooms | Beautiful Country Home
Inviting hilltop home tucked away on 13 acres of Aussie woodland. Located in charming Elphinstone, Vermont House accommodates up to 8 guests across 4 comfy bedrooms. Far away from the bustle and bright lights of the city, yet just over an hour’s drive from Melbourne, Vermont House is the perfect spot to go ‘off grid’ and experience the Victorian countryside without sacrificing the comforts of home.
With families in mind, this wonderful home offers a design aesthetic that appeals to all. Striking white walls keep every space open and bright, aided by plentiful natural light. Exposed brick paired with both contemporary and vintage furnishings give a rustic farmhouse feel. The first lounge area offers a plush leather couch to enjoy the beautiful wood heater that will keep things toasty while you relax. The country kitchen is flanked by two separate dining zones, giving plenty of options for informal and formal dining.
Just outside, guests will find a serene outdoor area covered by a wraparound verandah; perfect for enjoying the district views and sounds of this property’s beautiful grounds that are frequented by native kangaroos, kookaburras, echidnas and more. You’ll also find an outdoor children's play gym, a fire pit and picturesque dam with neighbouring properties serving as the quintessential country backdrop.
The bedrooms of Vermont House are simple and cosy. Three of the rooms offer one queen bed each, the fourth boasting a long single setup (converting to King, upon request) with separate second lounge area particularly friendly to families with children.
Surrounded by the beautiful countryside, this property makes a great home base for exploring the region. Perfect for bush walking and mountain bike enthusiasts, the property backs onto the national park with direct access to hundreds of kilometres of fire tracks and trails.
Whether you are lodging for a holiday or a work function, guests will surely want to check out the nearby towns. A hop, skip and a jump from tourist meccas - Daylesford, Kyneton, Castlemaine, and Bendigo - yet far enough away for peace and quiet. Between its prime remote location and its lovely interior spaces, Vermont House makes for the perfect country getaway.
