About this property

Ultimate wine travellers stopover in heritage home at winery in Langhorne Creek

The suite is in our century old Australian stone home. The high ceilings offer Old-world charm while the modern ensuites with private access offer New-world comfort. Only a short walk from Angas Plains Estate Wines Cellar Door and vineyard, this boutique family ownered and operated property gives guests the opportunity to stay on a working property in the country. It is extremelly quiet until the birds start singing in the morning. The sky is dark without lights and perfect for stargazing the full array of our great stars on a cloud free night. If a cooked breakfast is arranged it is served in the cellar door at an extra cost.
Langhorne Creek is a wine region with a number of well recogonised wineries with cellar doors making it an ideal destination for wine lovers. Strathalbyn is only 10 minutes drives away and is a very pretty historical country town. Close by is Lake Alexandrina a very large fresh water lake and Goolwa Beach and the Murray River mouth. So there is plenty to explore and do on a day trip.

Superb short stay
The whole experience from the time we checked in at the winery to the time we left was superb. The hospitality of Phillip and Judy, the hosts, was magnificent and the accommodation was more than I could have hoped for. Clean, spacious and comfortable, we were very impressed. Did I mention, the wines available were very nice. Happy to stay again and recommend it highly.

We can offer space in our home but they have seperate access and don't need to share a space. Our cellar door has dining space and sheltered areas for the guests to enjoy and this is where we can meet.

Why they chose this property

Owning a beautiful vineyard and winery it is lovely to host guests and have them enjoy the country life that we enjoy. The vineyards change with the seasons so the landscape is always changing.

What makes this property unique

Our property offers the unique opportunity to stay on a working vineyard and learn a little about the industry without having to work on it.
