About this property

Cozy Loon Cabin in Namakagon | Lakefront 3 Bed, 2 Bath

Welcome to The Cozy Loon Cabin in Cable, Wisconsin, a tranquil retreat nestled in the heart of Wisconsin's enchanting Northwoods, just twenty feet from the serene shores of Little Bass Lake. This architecturally designed home, covering 2,300 square feet spread across three levels and sitting on 1.4 acres of woodland splendor, has been crafted with distinct Scandinavian influences to encapsulate the serene ambiance of its natural surroundings.

Our cabin is your gateway to a wide range of outdoor adventures. Little Bass Lake, a peaceful haven free from motorized watercraft, is perfect for paddling or fishing from our private dock.

Cable, WI, a Trail City USA town, offers over 300 miles of scenic CAMBA trails for mountain biking, and 240 miles of trails for cross-country skiing, including the 100-plus kilometers of the Birkie trail system. You can also explore snowmobiling by connecting to 1200 miles of trails, 180 miles of ATV trails, 280 miles of hiking trails, 110 miles of snowshoe trails, or paddle the National Wild and Scenic Namekagon River. Whether you prefer the serenity of nature or the thrill of motorized recreation, Cable has something for everyone.

Stepping inside, you're welcomed by an open-plan living area adorned with large, expansive windows that beautifully frame the stunning lake views. The light-filled interior creates an inviting space that marries the timeless appeal of rustic woodwork with the clean lines and minimalist aesthetic of Scandinavian design. We have curated an inspiring collection of art throughout the space.

For those balancing work and leisure, our cabin features a dedicated workspace with high-speed fiber internet (1000 Mbps) that offers a serene environment for productivity. While cell reception can be limited in our scenic woodland location, our high-speed Wi-Fi supports Wi-Fi calling, ensuring you stay connected during your stay. When the workday ends, retreat to one of our two entertainment spaces in the loft and the basement, each equipped with a TV for relaxation. We also provide a selection of games and books for your enjoyment during your stay.

Our property now has an Electric Vehicle (EV) charger with a 50 amp J-1772 plug. There is a daily fee to charge. For our outdoor enthusiasts, we offer a locked storage area for securing your gear, along with wall hangers for both Fat Tire and Road bikes. There is also a tire air pump, a small bike repair tool kit, a workbench, a bike repair stand, a bike washing station, two kayaks and paddles, a glove/boot dryer, four pairs of snowshoes, and indoor and outdoor ski storage rack.

At The Cozy Loon Cabin, we've harmoniously fused nature's tranquility with modern convenience and stylish design. Here, you'll find a distinctive retreat where unforgettable memories are forged against Wisconsin's stunning lakes and forests. Some of our local favorites include the Cable Natural History Museum, Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association, American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation, Rivers Eatery, Velo Café, the historic Garmisch Inn, Pla-Mor restaurant, the Elk herd around Clam Lake, and Redberry Books. Don't forget to ask about local boat, snowmobile, ATV rental options, and trail maps to maximize your stay!

Weekend up north

Beautiful property and location. Great amenities. Loved the bike locker! Bluegills were biting right off the dock.

Cozy loon

Rental is nicely appointed, well equipped, private and convenient. We enjoyed our stay. A few things to consider- we flew in to MSP and drove up. It was inconvenient to bring towels or blankets. We had to borrow from friends. Outdoor areas need some clean up. We washed bird poop off deck by front door. Washed kayaks, cleaned out ashes in BBQ. Lawn needs mowing and windows need washing. Only one shower was an inconvenience and shower head had very low water flow.
