Not clean

Host met our party outside and informed us that he needs less than an hour to clean and prep between guests. Bathroom was gross, dirty sink, toilet appeared to have urine stains and hair on the seat, tub/shower was dirty and had hair. Bed appeared to be slept in with hair and debris on the sheets, some sheets appeared to have sweat stains near the head. Outside was very unkempt. We ended up just leaving and booking hotels just off Hollywood Blvd.

Looks really not taken care of. Outside was full of cat poop, leaves, spider webs. Inside was decent until we found black mold in the room and decided to leave.

A quick getaway in Hollywood

The drive was amazing and the scenery was beautiful. The property owner did respond to our emails in a quick manner but we had to reach out to get instructions the day of our trip. Advance instructions is just my preference. The entrance instructions were very clear but I was not aware when I booked that we were walking down and up stairs to get to our room in the back of the house. We stayed in our room area for sleeping and it was very comfortable. I loved the beds, the space and the room temperature was perfect. For a reasonable price I still give this place a 4 out of 5.

Hi, I grew up in Los Angeles and my family works in the movie industry. We are renting out a few rooms of my family home as my siblings have moved out. I'm currently taking care of my aging family members and this is a type of work that really synchronizes with that well since I'm a total homebody and enjoy folding laundry.

Why they chose this property

In such a hectic and diverse city like Los Angeles this neighborhood is like a slice of tropical sanctuary. There is no freeway noise or crime. This neighborhood is a favorite of the rich and famous.

What makes this property unique

Most of the properties in my neighborhood feature luxury investment homes costing close to $1000 a night. They are totally artificial with no family ever having lived there. This is not one of those. This is a real Short Term Rental of a lived in home. Were not charging an amount that covers the entire cost of running the home and because of that it represents an unparalleled value.
