My husband, Les, and myself, Val built our country home with a suite on 1 acre together with our son and daughter-in-law and their 2 children - we moved in December 2018. We love living in community with our children and grandchildren!

We love the outdoors and enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking and canoeing. The opportunities to enjoy these activities here on Vancouver Island are endless!

Why they chose this property

Black Creek is situated half way (20 min) between Courtenay / Comox and Campbell River. Both cities offer extensive shopping opportunities with Costco located in Courtenay. Campbell River boasts being the fishing capital and has a waterfront fishing pier that serves many flavours of ice cream. Fishing Charters are available out of Campbell River. Hiking and walking trail are in abundance in our area. Closest to us - Miracle Beach Park - 15 min walk away; Oyster River Trail 5 min. drive - trail network along the river leading to the ocean; Mt. Washington - hiking / skiing / mountain biking - 30 minutes away

Our home is situated on 1 acre in the country - facing east / west - enjoying beautiful sunshine all day long. Miracle Beach Provincial Park (amazing sandy beach!) is 1.5 km down the road and Miracle Beach Mini Golf (offering hard ice cream, coffee and food) and Saratoga Speedway are 1 km in the other direction. Discovery Foods Plaza is 2 km to the north - grocery store, liquor store, pizza and coffeeshop, medical clinic and a gift shop. Beautiful, sandy Saratoga Beach and the Oyster River Trail network are both a short drive or bike ride away. Craft breweries, wineries and a distillery, golf courses and salmon fishing opportunities close by.
