Tucked away on the edge of the world-famous Bruce Trail, the cabin offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness. With its rustic charm and cozy ambiance, it's the perfect getaway for outdoor enthusiasts, hikers, and nature lovers seeking tranquility.

Unplug from the digital world and reconnect with loved ones as you engage in conversation, play board games, or simply unwind in nature.

The cabin's off-grid design ensures a true wilderness experience.

The Space:
Only about an hour drive from the GTA and nestled in a secluded corner of wilderness in the Niagara Escarpment, part of the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves, this cabin promises an unforgettable experience of self-sufficiency and peaceful living.

Exterior:
The cabin is constructed using solid cedar timbers and other sustainable materials for an authentic experience.

Power:
The cabin is equipped with a 2200-watt Jackey Power Station, providing ample electricity for your essential needs. Rechargeable lamps and flashlights are also provided. Portable solar panels and/or a gas generator are available upon request for extended stays to keep you powered up.

Water:
To further enhance your connection with nature and provide a genuine off-grid lifestyle, we have installed a traditional hand-operated well pump.
The manual well pump is a time-honored device that allows you to draw water directly from the earth, providing you with a truly authentic and immersive experience. Using a handle and a manual pumping mechanism, you can access fresh, cold water from the depths of the underground aquifer.

Heat:
Please be advised there is presently no heat source available. This means it may be cold at night depending on the outdoor temperatures. For this reason, the property is only available seasonally from May 1st until the end of October.

Living Area:
Step inside the cabin to discover a cozy living area adjacent to the kitchen as well as an indoor dining and sitting area in the sunroom. The space is thoughtfully furnished with comfortable seating and natural décor, inviting you to unwind and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the surroundings.

Kitchen:
Adjacent to the living area, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen designed to meet your culinary requirements. The kitchen features a small microwave to complement the barbeque outdoors allowing you to cook hearty meals with ease. Ample storage space and a selection of cookware and utensils are provided for your convenience.

Bedrooms:
The cabin offers two restful bedrooms, complete with a comfortable beds adorned with soft linens, comforters and warm fleece blankets. Fall asleep to the gentle sounds of nature and wake up refreshed and rejuvenated, ready to embrace each new day.

Bathroom:
For a touch of modern convenience, the cabin features a manual flush toilet, ensuring a hygienic and hassle-free experience. Additionally, a solar shower allows you to cleanse under the open sky, surrounded by the sounds of rustling leaves and chirping birds or alternatively use the solar shower indoors once it is heated for privacy.

Outdoor Space:
Stepping outside, you'll find a spacious deck offering stunning views of the surrounding wilderness. Relax in a comfortable sectional or the Muskoka chairs and enjoy your culinary creations outdoors.

Wildlife:
The property is blessed with an abundance of wildlife, providing an enchanting experience like no other.

You'll find native milkweed and nectar-rich flowers growing throughout the field, providing essential resources for the endangered monarch butterfly during their breeding and migration cycles. It's a great spot to observe these beautiful butterflies and other pollinators.

As the sun sets, get ready to witness a mesmerizing spectacle of fireflies illuminating the night sky. These tiny creatures create a magical ambiance, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the surrounding wilderness. (seasonal in the summer)

Prepare to encounter some of the most delightful woodland creatures during your stay. It is common to see porcupines, with their unique quills and gentle demeanor, offering glimpses of their adorable antics. Our resident deer are a common sight, gracefully prancing through the forest and field, providing picturesque moments you won't want to miss capturing.

And if you're lucky, you might even spot a magnificent turkey strutting about, displaying its vibrant plumage and adding a touch of wild elegance to your stay.

Imagine waking up to the soothing sounds of nature, with birds singing their cheerful melodies and the rustle of leaves in the breeze. Our property offers a true haven for wildlife lovers and photographers alike.

Activities:
Embrace the beauty of the great outdoors with a range of activities just waiting for you to enjoy. Explore nearby hiking trails, cast a line into the crystal-clear pond full of trout, or simply hang the hammock and relish the serenity of nature with a good book in hand.

As you explore the grounds, you'll find ample wild blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, and black cap raspberries growing freely, just waiting for you to pluck them and savor their sweet, juicy flavors. (All grow seasonally)

But the bounty doesn't end there! Mushroom enthusiasts will be thrilled to know that our property is a treasure trove of different mushroom varieties. Whether you're a seasoned forager or a curious beginner, you can embark on a mushroom hunt and uncover some culinary gems to add an earthy touch to your meals. There are so many to discover from puffballs to morels but please be certain that the mushrooms you find are edible before you indulge.

Beyond the delectable edibles, our surroundings offer an opportunity to immerse yourself in the wonders of the natural world. Take leisurely strolls through the wooded areas, follow the gentle babble of nearby streams, and breathe in the fresh, crisp air. Nature lovers and hikers will find plenty of trails to explore, ensuring each day is an exciting adventure.

Guest access:
Over 60 Acres to explore; with rugged streams, forest, and field of unspoiled nature. Map and compass are provided; however, please do not venture onto neighbouring properties. If unsure about navigating the property please stick to the main trail.

Limited Cellular Coverage:
Please note that our remote location means there is very limited cellular coverage at the cabin. However, we understand the importance of staying connected in case of emergencies. If needed, a short 1km drive or hike will bring you within range of a cellular signal, ensuring you can reach out for assistance if required.
