About this property

Eden Gardens in Scenic Aldgate

The property is beautifully appointed in the village of Aldgate, and is home to many rosellas, kookaburras and various other native birds. It is regularly visited by the neighbourhood koala, whom you may see if you look carefully.

A rustic country home with timber ceilings throughout. The loungeroom has double doors to the verandahs, both front and rear, and features a combustion fireplace.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all you need – utensils, crockery, cookware (including bakeware), and appliances (e.g. ricecookers, slowcooker, blender etc).

The main bedroom is at the rear of the property and has an en-suite. Complete with King bed, plenty of wardrobe space and timber floors.

There are two other bedrooms at the rear. Bedroom 2 is fitted with a Queen bed and large windows that are filled with the beautiful garden scenery. This bedroom is accessed via Bedroom 3.

Bedroom 3/The office space has a King Single bed, and a desk and chair for getting some work done, or working-from-home while staying.

The main bathroom has a large walk-in shower and the laundry a washtub and front load washing machine.

It is a very quiet area in the evenings; you will not be kept awake by traffic.

The gardens are the real cherry on the top at this property. Meandering paths, outdoor dining areas and a gazebo, surrounded by towering trees set on over 2,000 sqm. There are two separate outdoor dining areas, one in the gazebo, which also has a bar table – a gorgeous spot for a wine in the evening. There is an outdoor BBQ available for use.

Parking is in the driveway and has sufficient space for four cars. There is a garage, but it is not available for use.

Pets are welcome, however, the property is not fully secure.

A lovely escape
If you are looking to recharge your batteries and enjoy some peace and quiet this is the place for you. Sitting by a crackling fire whilst sipping some beautiful South Australian wine was pure bliss. Communication with the host was exceptional and aside from a few difficulties extending our stay we had the most relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

A Perfect Family Retreat in the Adelaide Hills
We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful Aldgate house. The gardens were stunning and perfect for bbq’s and relaxing, while the central location made it easy to enjoy everything the Adelaide Hills has to offer. From wineries to charming villages, it was all so close, and being just 20 minutes from Adelaide was a bonus. It felt like a peaceful retreat for the whole family, and we can’t wait to return!

Paradise Revisited
Second stay at this idyllic hideaway nestled in the valley just outside charming Aldgate. So nice I extended my stay yet again. Once again the immaculate manicured garden was a joy to sit in and relax the day away. With friends calling in for lunch and enjoying the visit sitting amongst the pine trees and amazing camellias. Inside is clean and very homely with amazing ambience and everything provided for a long stay. You can spend hours just looking at the interesting furnishings throughout the house. The beautiful walking trails located outside the front door were a daily treat. The host Anna always responded very quickly and was very helpful. I would thoroughly recommend staying in this beautiful house.
