Well located within easy walking distance of train station and shops, the home was large and had everything we need for the week. Wifi and Netflix were much appreciated. Maria was a gracious host - thanks for a great stay.
Maria was a pleasure to deal with and was extremely hospitable during our 4 night stay. The house was amazing with large rooms and comfortable beds. The kitchen, dining and living areas were open plan with lovely art and furnishings. I would highly recommend Maria's cottage and would love to stay again in the future. Thanks again Maria.
The house is beautiful and looks very antiquated in a good way.

About the host
Hosted by Maria
Mark bought this house in 1991 and raised 2 children here with his ex wife. The house is a Victorian period home and was built in the late 1800’s with the modern extension being added in 2000. Mark completely renovated the entire house room by room. The back garden past the oak tree was a later addition.
Why they chose this property
Our street is a quiet cul-de-sac (no through road) with a heritage overlay on all the houses. This means that no-one is allowed to knock down any of the period homes and rebuild. The trees and plants in the neighbourhood are well established. The Chatham train station is at the bottom of the street making it easy to travel into our CBD.
What makes this property unique
It's a beautifully restored period home with a beautiful large garden. Our oak tree in the back garden provides shade and ambience in summer. The extra garden space acquired about 15 years ago, gives our border collie lots of room to run around in.
