About the host

We are a mature couple who live in Eastbourne on the Wellington Harbour in New Zealand. We love to travel, our recent trips have included the UK, Italy, France, Indonesia (Bali), Australia and Vietnam.
We have both lived in the UK in our earlier years and have returned for a number of visits to France, Italy, Portugal, also London and other parts of Great Britain. We much prefer staying in real homes rather than hotels and enjoy meeting the locals!
We have also lived for extended periods in Melbourne, Australia.
One of our most enjoyable adventures included driving around the islands of Corsica, Sardinia and the South of France.
Back in 2017 we spent 10 days travelling through Vietnam, and a few days in the Australian outback. In NZ we enjoyed biking the Otago Rail Trail and the Twin Coasts bike trail in Northland. We plan to bike some of the other great trails in NZ in the near future.
