Magical Family Vacation
We booked our stay at the Glaser’s cabin about a year in advance; and the anticipation of our family’s first trip to Alaska was intense! We arrived and, quite frankly, did not ever want to leave. The location of the cabin was ideal. Even with road construction, it was only an extra 20 minutes into and out of Seward. Not really a big deal. The location on the lake was absolutely breathtaking. We loved skipping rocks, enjoying bonfires in the fire pit, exploring the Victor Creek river bed as it flows into Kenai Lake, taking naps on the grass in the sunshine… truly this place is idyllic. The beds were comfortable and the showers were hot. We made dinner several nights at the cabin; we loved the grill, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our son had the best time waving to the train conductor each time it passed and he would toot the train horn hahaha!! So amazing. We can’t wait to be back. Thank you so much!

Quiet area, beautiful home!
We loved this house! The distance from Seward was exactly what we were wanting. A bit secluded but not terribly far from town. The lake was beautiful amd we enjoyed reading the history of the home in the information book!

Perfectly located! A total gem.
Great location, the cabin is awesome. Truly a special place. Make sure and grab a bag of marshmallows, because relaxing by the fire pit on the lake beachfront, skipping stones with the kids is one of those memories that'll stick with ya. The cabin has all the comforts you could want, and its an easy drive to Seward, tons of great hiking trails, and some of the most beautiful sights

Cute cabin on gorgeous Lake Kenai
Our family (2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 kids) stayed here and enjoyed our time here. Out the back of this cabin is a short walk to the gorgeous, quiet Lake Kenai. There is a nice little beach area and fishing gear was provided- we didn't catch anything but spent a few pleasant hours trying and enjoying the view. A little farther walk away is a beautiful riverbed leading into the lake- wide open area with no one else there and we saw a bald eagle sitting on a fallen tree when we arrived; there is also a view of a mountain with a glacier- drop dead gorgeous place. The house was very clean and well appointed. The twin bed is on the small downstairs landing outside 2 of the bedrooms and a bathroom so wouldn't work for someone easily disturbed- our 8 year old slept here and loved it though. Just be aware that the nearest real grocery store is in Seward and with the current roadworks it can add a lot of time to what your GPS says. But, if you want a peaceful place with a gorgeous view and between Cooper Landing and Seward this is a good option.

Amazing!
My family of four adults stayed for three nights. We all agreed that this was one of our favorite properties. The owners seem to have thought of everything. They had bag chairs, bug spray, and fishing poles and tackle. The house was well maintained and had a personal touch at every turn. We took the trail across the road and even saw a bear in the creek bed toward the end of the trail! (Luckily the owners left bear spray for us to use). If I could rate this property higher I would!

Best Property We've Stayed at in Alaska!
We have visited Alaska several times and stayed in several different rental cabins and homes. We've enjoyed them all, but this log home is by far the nicest we have ever stayed in. It is every bit as nice as the pictures! It was immaculate and comfortable and very spacious. We loved the close proximity to Kenai Lake. You cannot beat the view and the peaceful setting. The owners were also very easy to reach and were very helpful as we settled in. This was a perfect place to home base for trips to Seward, the Kenai River, and several hiking trails. We could not have asked for a nicer place for our week in Alaska!

5 STAR STAY
My family needed a short stay near Seward, and this cabin was perfect. Very clean and comfortable with a charming story about its beginnings. But I think you’ll have to stay there to learn about it :) Marion is a very personable host/owner and checked in frequently to make sure we didn’t need anything. The cabin is right on a lake and I am certain that this would be an outstanding place for a summer visit. It is about a 20 minute drive to the grocery store and downtown Seward, where all the “action” is. On the way out- we stopped at the knife shop across the street. The owner is friendly and fabulous, and really appreciative of our military. Worth a stop in. Great cabin. Great host. 10/10 would recommend

Beautiful and Relaxing
This beautiful log home (custom-built by the owners) was exactly as described. The picturesque setting, nestled amongst the towering evergreen trees gave a feeling that you were a million miles from civilization when in fact you are only about a twenty-five minute drive from the town of Seward. The lake is a short walk (about 100 yards) from the cabin. We did some fishing and built a fire from drift wood found along the shore. That first day/ evening, sitting around that fire, with Kenai Lake for a background, all the trappings of this world dissipated. The town of Seward is very quaint and the people are extremely friendly (indeed everyone we met in Alaska, from arrival to departure, was very friendly). The photos you take cannot do justice to the beauty of the surrounding snow-capped mountains, rivers, bays and lakes - only seeing the breath-taking landscapes with your own eyes can one appreciate the indescribable natural wonder that is Alaska. Every part of the United States has it's own pristine magnificence, but after traveling to Alaska, my family and I have seen a place that is truly awe-inspiring no matter in which direction one looks. We are forever grateful that we were able to visit this beautiful slice of Heaven on Earth and if a trip to Alaska is on your Bucket List, make it happen - You ain't getting no younger.

Charming and comfortable
This cabin fit our needs very well! It was stocked with everything we needed and we all slept very comfortably there. Kitchen had all the pots and utensils we needed and even cooking basics like oil, spices and condiments. We had fun with the games available as well as with the stack of old AK magazines! A must stop is the knife shop across the street, Virgil seemed happy to give a tour of the workshop and really made it interesting for the kids. The lake is gorgeous and we enjoyed watching the trains go by. The only slight downside was perhaps a little road noise since it's close to the road (you can't see it though) and we were lucky enough to be there while they were blasting for road rehab! There were 2 blasts one night that shook the house. They made us aware of it before we went but I wasn't sure if/how it would impact us. The road was closed until 8am one morning but luckily it wasn't the day we had to leave early for our fishing trip. Obviously the owners have no control over that but something to think about as I'm not sure when it will be done.

Kenai Cove Cabin did not disappoint!!
I cannot say enough good things about this property! Our family of 4 stayed there for four nights and would have stayed longer if they weren't already booked during the times we needed. The cabin is beautiful both outside and inside! The description online is spot on. The view off the back porch is so peaceful and just about 100 yards down a path leads you to breathtaking views of the Kenia Lake! The cabin itself was well stocked with dishes, towels, blankets, appliances and a gas grill. I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful cabin!

Primrose Cabin
We truly enjoyed our stay in the cabin on Kenai Lake. The cabin was clean and everything was in good condition. The kitchen was well stocked with good quality cookware. Bedding was nice and comfortable. We enjoyed using our telescope to look for bears and mountain goat on the mountain. We saw both. We even caught a few trout in the lake. I would recommend this rental highly.

Beautiful Cabin & Peaceful Location
This cabin and property are truly beautiful! We felt at home the moment we pulled up. The ornate wood throughout is spectacular. The natural materials used to build and decorate the cabin make the inside and outside blend seamlessly. We loved the loft for us and our teen boys loved having the basement as their own space. My favorite inside spot was the chair next to the big window….perfect for morning coffee. We explored all over the lake, river, and delta area. We even saw a bald eagle on our last morning hike. The lake is stunning and great for skipping rocks. We definitely wished we could’ve stayed longer and we were so sad to leave. A big thank you to the owners, their kiddos (trail experts) , and the goldens too!

Why they chose this property

The construction of Kenai Cove Cabin has been an incredible adventure. We started clearing the property for this dream log cabin in January of 2009. The log shell was erected that summer with the help of friends and family. We worked on the cabin while completing graduate school, working for the Forest Service, enjoying outdoor adventures, and starting a family. Our home was finally finished in 2013. We are honored to share it with you!

What makes this property unique

The handcrafted nature of the home and its unique features make it a place you'll fall in love with. It's a beautiful and quiet location with access to your own beach on the beautiful Kenai Lake.
