You will enjoy fantastic views of Lake Huron, Bois Blanc Island and freighters passing by from the cozy living, dining, and kitchen area of this newly remodeled cottage; it has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, high speed internet and air conditioning if needed. There are a few books to enjoy in the living room, the second floor has many games and puzzles to have fun with as well as a table for those who need space to do some work while away from home. The beautiful sandy/rocky beach is just steps away from the cottage where you can sunbathe, swim (water shoes are nice to have when swimming here), take peaceful strolls or go rock hunting. During the peak of summer there are amazing sunrises over the lake in the morning and sunsets in the evening with Mackinac Bridge in the background!!! Located in Cordwood Point Association, you are only 15 minutes from the town of Cheboygan and less than a half hour from Mackinaw City, there are many things to do in the area. Go hiking on trails at Cheboygan State park just down the road, bring a picnic and play in the Lower Peninsula's largest waterfall, Ocqueoc Falls, head to Quarry View in Rogers City to see the world's largest limestone quarry, in St. Ignace you can climb the stairs to the top of Castle Rock then take your picture with Paul Bunyan and Babe his blue ox or visit the many Lighthouses in the area. Go toward Mackinaw City and catch the Jack Pine Lumberjack Shows, spend some time at Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park, take a trip in the evening to the Headlands International Dark Sky Park. Spend the day shopping in downtown Cheboygan, Mackinaw City or St. Ignace while also checking out some of the many excellent restaurants. Bring your kayaks and paddle boards to explore the coastline, bring bikes to travel the Lake Huron shoreline on the Huron Sunrise Trail, an 11 mile bike path from 40 Mile Point Lighthouse to South Shore Park in Rogers City with many stops in between, the roads in the association are also great for bike riding or taking walks. Check out the four parks in the association also. Spring, Summer or Fall, it's always beautiful!!!

Wow! Fantastic home on Lake Huron

What a beautifully renovated, clean, comfortable, well stocked home just steps from Lake Huron. Our extended family spent Labor Day week relaxing by the fire pit enjoying the beautiful sunsets each evening. During the day we rock hunted, fished (not much luck) walked the beach, visited Mackinac Island and enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful property. I would definitely return and high recommend this property when visiting the area.

Beautiful lake front home!

We had a fantastic family vacation! The house is very clean and was enough space for our family of 5. While the weather the week we stayed was on the cooler side, our kids still enjoyed playing on the beach and in the water. Gorgeous sunsets every night often from the fire pit! Quiet, relaxing - highly recommend!

Wonderful stay at Freighter View

We had the best stay ever. The northern lights were the icing on the cake. Cottage is like brand new. We loved walking the beaches, watching the ships go by and wonderful campfires at night.

Awesome vacation home!

The property was very clean and in great condition. Pretty sure it’s very new. The view was absolutely amazing. Loved the patio and fire pit located right out the back door with a beautiful view of Lake Huron! We plan to make this a yearly getaway! Only downside was a million mayflies but not the fault of the property, just May in northern Michigan. Loved it!!

Great property and location - shady neighbor

The property was beautiful. Location was amazing. However, our first evening we were sitting out by the fire and the neighbor came over to tell us the house is in a home association and quiet time was 10:00. We were never told the home was in an association and there was a “quiet time”. We are all adults and weren’t being loud by any means … just enjoying the evening fire after our long trip to get there. We thought that was all a little odd. The next day, we all took a trip to the island and when we came back there was a bunch of sticks etc in our fire pit that we didn’t leave. I messaged the office and they were going to see if the owner had been there. We were all a little concerned someone had been in our house. I messaged the office 2xs about this with no response. I called on the day we left and she said the owner wasn’t there and it was probably the neighbor cleaning up the yard. I then asked about the home association and quiet time we were told about by the neighbor. Management said they were not aware of any of that. So I’m not really sure what happened, but it all seemed a little shady. Regardless, we did enjoy our time and the amazing views and the private-ish beach area!
