Property was large with plenty of room both in the house and in the yard, so very suitable for a family and for pet as well. Everything there for your use and great care package left. Hosts very amenable and happy to provide what is needed. Large pool especially good for kids. Would be happy to return at a later date. Reasonable price.

Becareful staying here
We were really looking forward to staying here. I had been in contact with the owner before our stay letting her know that we were going to be having a kids birthday party during our stay and that we would be making noise and having fun. I was told no worries, make as much noise as you like. On the Sat night the party slowed down about 11.30pm we were not playing any music the whole time it was just noise from us playing in the pool and around the house. Anyway the next morning at 7.30am there was a knock at the door, it was the Owner asking to come inside - she was angry and started yelling and swearing at me about getting a noise complaint. She stayed for about 15mins yelling right in my face all in front of the kids. She then asked us the leave, I refused to leave as we had payed up until the next day and that day was my daughter’s Birthday! The kids were scared and I have never ever had an experience like this - the owners behaviour was unacceptable and abusive. The owner lives downstairs, there is no privacy at this property. The windows in the sunroom are very big and very low - a child could easily fall out of these windows and a bed is pushed up against them. There are broken tiles in the pool & the pool gate was unsafe. Bathroom door doesn’t open properly & the shower door is broken. There were cockroaches in the kitchen and sunroom. Wish I didn’t have to leave this review for what was meant to be an awesome weekend but just be careful staying at this property.

Nightmare Rental
We recently stayed at the holiday home located at Ocean Shores, unfortunately, our experience was nothing short of a nightmare. While the location was lovely and relatively close to the beach, the property itself and the management were appalling. The home had significant cleanliness and maintenance issues. Upon arrival, we discovered visible cockroaches throughout the property, which was highly unpleasant. Multiple fly screens were missing from the windows, making it difficult to ventilate the home without inviting more insects inside. The shower screen was also missing, creating a mess every time we used the bathroom. To make matters worse, there was no general waste bin provided, so managing rubbish became a frustrating challenge.Despite the advertisement stating the house had air-conditioning, this was not the case, leaving us to deal with the heat without relief. Adding to the frustration, several lights didn’t even have bulbs in them, leaving parts of the house poorly lit and uncomfortable to use in the evenings.Patsy’s management style was intrusive and unprofessional. She sent constant messages throughout the day and even made phone calls late at night, disrupting what was meant to be a relaxing holiday. Despite the listing claiming she lived in Mullumbimby, she was actually living full-time onsite. Her constant presence felt invasive, as she repeatedly called to complain about minor issues, such as the noise of children closing

I am a retired Paralegal of 45years. My father’s family came to the Mullumbimby back in 1882. My Great Grandfather William J Reilly his wife and my 1 year old Grandfather John W Reilly. My Great Grandfather was an Irish Merchant Seamen met my Great Grandmother on his arrival in Eden married and applied for and was granted two Property Selections in the Northern Rivers District namely Mullumbimby. Bullock Drivers / Cedar Cutters / Farmers of those early times WJ Reilly eventually was elected along with 4 other Community Elders (men) who sat on the FIRST Mullumbimby Council (now Byron Shire Council) back in 1908. It is written whilst he was part of the founding fathers of the main township of Mullumbimby/ Brunswick Heads. My G/Grandmother (his wife) and her eventual brood of 13 children ran the Family dairy property just a few miles out of Mullumbimby AND being totally self sufficient she did not travel into Mullumbimby for a period of SIX years or more. AMAZING Women the Reilly Women were and are to this day. My Grandfather (my Father’s father) JW Reilly himself married and they had 7 children 6 boys 1 daughter. JW Reilly purchased two farms one a 100 acre property (now part of the Ocean Shores Estate) a dairy farm and a property at The Pocket just outside the township of Billinudgel where he and his sons grew Bananas. Cut / Packed and shipped off weekly by Rail to the Sydney Markets.

Why they chose this property

My family heritage my GreatGrandparents and Grandparents pioneered the townships of Mullumbimby/Brunswick Heads /Billinudgel such heritage dates back to 1882.
