This two bedroom house is on a bush covered hillside in lovely seaside suburb of Plimmerton, about 30 minutes north of Wellington. It is 2 blocks from Karehana Bay beach, 20 minutes walk to Plimmerton village, shops and train station. Fully furnished. Gas hob, electric oven, microwave, hot water jug. Fireplace (firebox). Solar hot water heating and wetback.
Beautiful setting reached by a 'goat track' path or directly from street level via private cable car.
Available short term or longer from mid November now until February/March 2024.
Rate is NZ$150 for 2 adults, $30 per additional person.
House is 72m square on two levels. Comfortable for couple and/or couple with 1-2 children. Wheelchair access to ground floor with one King single bed in lower bedroom and fold-out futon couch in lounge. One Queen bed in upstairs bedroom.
Owners live in separate house behind Tree top house. There is a pottery studio below which interested guests can request to visit and see the potter working by arrangement.

Cute and Comfy
Rose and David are wonderful, friendly, thoughtful hosts. The accomodation is a pole style home nestled on a tree covered slope which is the perfect setting for bird watching and relaxing. The house has everything you need including a cable car if you choose not to walk the bush track up. Plimmerton Beach, train station and shops are an easy, pleasant walk away. Excellent little hideaway
We had an excellent long weekend up in the trees. Access was fun using the easy to operate cable car. The property had a deck where there was sufficient shade to prevent sunburn. The solar heated water was more than adequate ( there was an electric booster should there be the need. David and Rose were great hosts and very easy to communicate with. Would love to stay here again

Beautiful home and awesome owners
Me and my brother came down from Hamilton to stay at this beautiful home. The house was definitely suitable for what we needed. The location was awesome and away from the city so we got to hear the birds throughout the day which is what we wanted. The owners were definitely wonderful. They are very kind and welcoming. Definitely would love to stay down there again if we have the chance to do so

The property is owned by an older couple who live in an adjacent house behind the Tree Top house. There is a pottery studio below the house and interested guests can visit the studio when the potter is on site working.

While we are not a 5 star accommodation, the lived-in 20 year old house is comfortable and peaceful, and nestled in the trees with plentiful birds in a quiet residential setting in Plimmerton's Karehana Bay, with many amenities close by.
