Within two hours scenic drive from Sydney or Canberra is Lothlorien, a secluded five acre property, nestling below the Black Ash Nature Reserve high on Berry Mountain. Lothlorien lies halfway between Berry and Kangaroo Valley, a scenic ten minute drive in either direction.
The self-contained timber Yurt offers an unpretentious and cosy hideaway for two. It is separate from the main house and set in an old orchard tucked into the edge of the rainforest. Short walks offer exhilarating views of the scenic Wattamolla Valley and dramatic escarpments edging the Budderoo National Park.
Wombats, Echidnas, Possums and Sugar Gliders are regulars at Lothlorien. A short morning walk often averages between twenty to thirty species of birds, depending on the season. Over 200 species have been recorded within a 25 kilometre radius.
Within a ten minute drive, are the antiques, arts and crafts of Berry and Kangaroo Valley. Within twenty minutes are the Shoalhaven River, the beautiful Seven Mile Beach and several notable wineries. Barren Grounds Nature Reserve and other National Parks are thirty to forty minutes away.
