Disliked: Amenities
This property is nicely situated near the Capitol and monuments. It's very walkable, and there are two metro stations nearby.
Dining options within one mile were scarce. Luckily, Ted's Bulletin is wonderful so we ate there often. There's also a wine shop downstairs and a supermarket a few blocks away.
Access is very secure. A key fob would have been much better than trying to remember two 7-digit codes. Maybe we missed something in the arrival process, but it wasn't clearly documented.
The apartment itself was disappointing. The floorplan isn't great, the living room furniture seems second-hand, and the couch and bed are very low and uncomfortable.
Additionally, there are general cleaning issues. From dirty light switches to a stain behind the bathroom door (I don't want to know what it was from), it felt like a rental property rather than a hotel ... which it is but we expected better.
The most frustrating part of our stay was the amazing amount of noise ... generated internally. The furnace whistled so loudly that we thought it was a malfunctioning fire alarm. The dishwasher and laundry are also shockingly disruptive.
I expected more from a property at this rate (albeit, during the inauguration).
