Dee Dahs Cottage, Kangaroo Valley - 4pm check out Sundays and Public Holidays, except Summer Season
Dee Dahs is a lovingly restored, classic Kangaroo Valley cottage - within walking distance of the old bridge and the town centre. The home is casual, comfortable, stylish and welcoming, and has a lovely north facing deck with spa, spectacular views and direct frontage to the Kangaroo River. Please also note that there is no BBQ at Dee Dahs.
Take great care with children! The river access is unfenced and whilst it is some distance from the house, the river rises quickly and flows very rapidly after rain.
Where will I be?
Dee Dahs is right in the heart of the Kangaroo Valley village. You can walk to the bridge, the town centre, the pub or the service station and its food truck. It is a lovely home in a central location, with the added bonus of direct, private river frontage.
Why choose Dee Dahs?
Dee Dahs is a clever and stylish renovation of a traditional cottage into a home that is attractive, comfortable, air-conditioned and designed for indoor / outdoor entertaining - complete with a spa, large deck, views, river frontage, mature trees for shade and lovely lawn areas. It is a perfect home away from home for up to 4 guests.
How is the property laid out?
The home is all on one level and has 2 queen bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with a claw foot cast iron bath), a kitchen and laundry, and of course a dining and living room. The home effortlessly flows out onto the large deck, spa area, and lovely lawns that slope down to the private river frontage.
A mini weber BBQ is stored in the kitchen recess. It is not stored outside.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix, or Pay TV - will I have it?
Complimentary WiFi is available and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. There is also a Chromecast device for connecting to your own Netflix or other streaming account.
Please note that neither The Holidays Collection nor the owner can guarantee 100% that WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If Wi-Fi is important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
Dee Dahs has a garden that surrounds the house and lawns that slope down to private river frontage. Take great care with children! The river access is unfenced and the river rises quickly and flows very rapidly after rain.
A mini weber BBQ is stored in the kitchen recess. It is not stored outside.
Stay warm or keeping cool?
Cooling options include opening up the house to any available breeze (given its elevated position above the river), or using the air conditioning that is on offer. For cooler months, there is a wood fired stove in the living room.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Dee Dahs supplies sheets, linen and bath towels.
Parking for cars, etc?
Dee Dahs has open air parking on the driveway for 2 - 3 cars. Take care when entering the property from the street as you need to cross a fairly wide section of footpath that slopes away from the main road.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Sorry, Dee Dahs is not pet friendly. Please contact us for a list of pet friendly properties.
