Lavender Hill is a casual and comfortable, farmhouse style property. It retains many original features from when the home was built in 1989 - true to the photos. It should be booked as such, and not as a luxury option. The property is located in a secluded valley, with lovely views of the Kangaroo Valley escarpments. You access the property by driving through beautiful dairy farms, and when you arrive, you are surrounded by nature and peace and quiet. The drive to Kangaroo Valley village is about 15 minutes. Sleeping 6 guests across 3 bedrooms, and located in a rural setting, Lavender Hill is a genuine Kangaroo Valley experience - but as already noted before, it is a more basic, casual and comfortable option.
Where will I be?
Lavender Hill is a 15 minute drive from the Kangaroo Valley Village. FItzroy Falls is also a short drive, and it is 30 minutes to many of the other towns and Villages you will find in the Southern Highlands.
Why choose Lavender Hill?
Furnished comfortably, Lavender Hill is a great year round destination. Spend evenings besides the outdoor fireplace, or keep cosy indoors with the log burner. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal, but your close proximity to Kangaroo Valley village means dining out is a convenient option too.
How is the property laid out?
Lavender Hill is a single storey home. There is a spacious kitchen, complete with a large oven, a large dishwasher and a Nespresso Citiz coffee pod machine. There are 3 bedrooms. The master has a king bed and an ensuite with a shower and toilet, and the other 2 bedrooms have queen beds and the shared bathroom has a combined bath/shower, and a separate toilet. The living area has plenty of seating and a log burner. There is a second, smaller living room with another sofa and TV.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix, or Pay TV - will I have it?
Complimentary WiFi is available and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email.
Please note that neither The Holidays Collection nor the owner can guarantee 100% that WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If WiFi is important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
There is an enclosed rear yard, as well as an undercover dining area with a fireplace - the perfect place to spend an evening with family and friends! You’ll hear the sounds of a nearby creek (this is on the neighbours property, please do not enter) and may even get a visit from some of the local wildlife.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
There is reverse cycle air conditioning in the living room, as well as a log burner for those cold winter nights. There are portable fans and electric heaters in some of the bedrooms.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Lavender Hill supplies all bed linen, sheets and bath towels.
Parking for cars, etc?
Lavender Hill has open air parking for 4 cars.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?

Wildlife
Please note that due to the nature and location of this property, wildlife may be about including possums, kangaroos, ants, spiders, bees, wasps and even snakes. We do whatever we can to keep the property safe, however we cannot guarantee that you will not see any wildlife at the property. You must book the property knowing that the possibility of encountering wildlife exists, and you must take care during your visit if walking around the property - please.
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.
