Our favourite neighbourhood walks.
CENTENNIAL PARK
The easiest way to enter Centennial Park by foot is to go out via the back exit of
the building to Centennial Lane, turn right on Mitchell st and right on Lang rd.
When it hasn’t been raining go in via the pedestrian gate and walk across the
grass to start your walk at Centennial Homestead cafe.
If it has been raining, (wet grass = wet shoes), enter via Jervois ave.
There is a beautiful 4.5km track around the park, perfect for walking, running or
you can hire a bike from the bike shop at The Greenhouse at Centennial Park.
RUSHCUTTERS BAY PARK
Meander down through the streets of Paddington until you get to Rushcutters
Bay
The picturesque townhouses in Paddington are really lovely, go via Fiveways
Paddington and when you get to Rushcutters Bay you’ll be rewarded with
harbour views of the Harbour Bridge
An alternative way to get there is via Trumper Park, set your first destination as
Trumper Park Tennis courts, walk down behind the last tennis court in the row
along the bushy track to get there.
The walk one way takes about 35-45 minutes, on the way back it can get quite
steep.
