The Faraway House: Large family home - Walk to the river + Bring the boat!

The Faraway House (ironically - very close to everything in Mildura) is a freshly renovated spacious home with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, dedicated workspace + large outdoor entertainment area designed for family & friends to re-connect and explore everything that Mildura has to offer.
With the river a short stroll away, make the most of the nearby walking tracks along the riverfront & parklands. Watch the paddleboats go by and coffee hop your way through each of the unique cafes along the way.

The space
The Faraway House is a well thought out, bright and comfortable home that you will want to visit all-year-round. For the summer months the house features evaporative cooling throughout the interior and ceiling fans in every room. In the winter months snuggle up by the slow combustion fireplace. And if you need to quickly warm up your toes on a chilly evening, don’t worry we have split systems too! The house features a games room/garage – which is also fitted with evaporative cooling and a ceiling fan to keep you cool from the Mildura heat. Grab a book and relax in the hammock or enjoy a variety of games available such as ring toss, totem tennis and velcro ball. The family favourite for the kids (and the dads) is of course, the ping pong table. You’re welcome!

Our bedrooms are made up of:
1x King with ensuite (includes split system)
1 x Queen (includes split system)
1x Double and (includes Dyson heat/cool unit)
1 optional pull-out sofa bed for up to 8 guests to stay if required. (includes split system)
All beds are thoughtfully fitted with luxury bedding and bathrooms are stocked with lush towels. There is a separate toilet to the main bathroom.

The Faraway House includes fast speed wifi, multiple USB charging points, BBQ, smart TV’s in the lounge, outdoor entertaining area and double bedroom – all compatible with your favourite streaming apps. Staying at the Faraway House includes complimentary access to Disney +.

In the kitchen you will find everything that you need whether you’re after the ultimate home away from home experience or a quick getaway.
Coffee-a-holics will appreciate the well-stocked Nespresso machine and a Nutribullet is available for all the smoothie lovers!

This is your space to unwind, connect with regional Victoria and enjoy life’s simple pleasures with loved ones whilst enjoying all the convenience of being close enough to walk or ride to the riverfront, parks, local shops and cafés. Head out for a morning stroll and brunch by the river or pack a picnic and spend the afternoon under a palm tree.

The Arts Centre, Mildura Station Homestead & Lock 11 are all at your doorstep whilst the City Centre and the family-friendly Apex Park River Beach (with boat ramp) is a 25 minute stroll or 3 min drive.

Guest access
The Faraway House has self-check in and an abundance of on-site remote controlled secure parking with enough room for up to 5 cars. And for the bigger boats + caravans, the extra-wide driveway can accommodate space for another 2 vehicles/trailers.
The remote door carport clearance dimensions are:
2600 (w) x 2100 (h)

Other things to note
The Faraway House has an optional comfortable pull-out sofa in the lounge area that can be setup for an additional fee of $50 p/n accommodating an additional 2 guests.
We also have a porta cot that can setup upon request.

House Rules:
-strictly no parties/gatherings
- no third party bookings allowed. Primary guest must be staying at the property.
-eufy security system must not be turned off and cameras cannot be removed. (this is not only for the security of the property, but also for guests safety)
-Failure to check out by 10am may result in $100 additional charge
- for bookings over 14 days, compulsory mid-stay cleans will be competed and access must be provided.
- we reserve the right to request photo identification from primary guest to verify identity. This ensures safety and security for all guests and us.
- no illegal substances or weapons allowed at the property.
- for bookings over 28 days a security deposit may be requested.
- if using BBQ during your stay, please clean after use
- no unregistered guests allowed
- please do not eat or drink in the bedrooms
-there will be a replacement fee charged for any keys or damage to furniture/home.
-if smoking outside the home, please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly in the bin.
-please do not re-arrange the furniture
