About this property

Ribbonwood, Kangaroo Valley

Ribbonwood, Kangaroo Valley - 4pm check out Sundays and Public Holidays, except Summer Season

Nestled high up on the escarpment between Kangaroo Valley, Berry and Cambewarra, Ribbonwood is the perfect place to get away and relax. It is casual, comfortable and contemporary, and has stunning views. The outdoor bath tub is also a great feature, perfect for cleaning up before relaxing in front of the wood burning stove.

There are extensive night road works to repair landslip damage on Moss Vale Road and restore full road access at Cambewarra Mountain. Moss Vale Road on Cambewarra Mountain will be closed in both directions from 7pm to 5am, Sunday to Thursday from April to June. Vehicle access is permitted for 5 minutes at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 12am, 2am or 4am. Detours are also available through Kangaroo Valley Road.

Where will I be?

Ribbonwood is located on Cambewarra Lookout Road between Berry and Kangaroo Valley. It is a 15 minute drive to Berry, 15 minute drive to Kangaroo Valley, 20 minute drive to Nowra, and 30 minutes to Seven Mile Beach. The stunning Cambewarra Lookout and Cafe is also only a few minutes drive by car - well worth a visit to see the spectacular coastal views on a clear day!

Why choose Ribbonwood?

Ribbonwood is a stylish, contemporary getaway, with stunning views on a clear day across beautiful valleys. And even if the weather is variable, you are treated to a rainforest experience that may include mystical mist, clouds in the valley below, or refreshing rain. Due to its location, the property is equi-distant to Kangaroo Valley, Berry or Bomaderry / Nowra - so it is a perfect base from which to explore many areas.

How is the property laid out?

Ribbonwood is a split level design with the master, master en-suite and a private deck area on the ground / entry level. Stairs then take you up to the main living area which has an open plan kitchen, dining and living room with forest views. There is also a second bedroom and second bathroom on this level. The second bedroom also has access to an outside deck area, the lawns, and the open air / outside bath tub.

The kitchen is equipped with a coffee machine that is compatible with Nespresso coffee pods.

WiFi, Netflix, Pay TV – will I have it?

Ribbonwood provides complimentary Wi-Fi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email, or will be available at the property. Please note however that neither Kangaroo Valley Escapes, The Holidays Collection or the owners can 100% guarantee that the Wi-Fi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If internet access is important to you, please have a backup plan.

What about outdoors?

Ribbonwood has a forest setting, set amongst large, mature trees. It nonetheless has lovely, terraced lawn areas that lead from each of the two bedrooms to the stunning views of the valleys below. There is a good sized deck with outdoor dining table and chairs, and an open air bath tub, to take in the view of starry nights! The master bedroom also has a private deck with outdoor seating.

The property is gorgeous, lovely view and isolated from the rat race. Nice facilities. The thing that disappointed us for the rate we paid was the cleanliness. We found a huge hairball in the bathroom which was not ideal and the table as you walk in had a dead cockroach on it. Lots of cobwebs etc which you expect in the bush I suppose but in general we would have hoped a clean was completed prior to our check in. I would say this property does not disappoint as a whole but we would not do a repeat stay with the cleanliness issues.
