We stayed here for proximity to my daughters wedding. The cottage is beautiful, loved everything about it, the combustion heater came in handy. So many animals around too, which adds to the experience. Well done, would definitely come back again forvrelaxatiib

Idyllic Country Cottage in Clarendon
We thoroughly enjoyed a few days in this newly listed Cottage. The owners have meticulously renovated the Ironstone building to offer all the modern comforts. Breakfast provisions were left for us and the host brought firewood for the evening. The beds were new and incredibly comfortable with quality linen and pillows. The armchairs on the front balcony offered views of the cottage garden and the friendly sheep and Alpacas. All in all highly recommended and definitely for more than one night. 5/5 Star rating !!!

Having grown up in the suburbs, I love living out amongst the open space. We have loved renovating the Cottage and I am now a dry stone walling enthusiast, having built all the walls around the property. Gardening is also a passion of my partner, and this is evident in the beautiful cottage garden at the front of the cottage.

Why they chose this property

Clarendon is the perfect location to stay. It is close to the airport and city, and only 10 minutes away from local shopping centres, but still feels like you are a long way out in the country.
It is the perfect base to explore the southern fleurieu, we particularly like exploring the local wineries and restaurants, with Yangarra Estate a 2 minute drive down the road, and also Samuels Gorge another nearby favorite. There is some great bush walking in the nearby Onkaparinga Gorge or Kuitpo forest. We even have the Willunga Basin walking trail going past the front of the property. It is also close to the Willunga markets on weekends and some of the best beaches in Australia, with our favourite being Silver sands at Aldinga beach.

What makes this property unique

Nestled at the base of a hill, Gabby's Cottage is distinctive and well known in the area due to its beauty. The old iron stone walls stand out and are a key feature. The cottage has been been beautifully renovated, with large voids with velux sky lights to incorporate natural light into the front rooms and a new kitchen with all the mod cons. With a beautiful cottage garden and being located close to both the wineries and natural attractions in the area, it is the perfect base to explore one of the best regions in the country.
