About this property
Luxury, jungle-themed micro-apartment. 300m to tram stop. Walk to Lonsdale St.
You can call it micro, tiny, or small, but you can't call it uncool. 'Jungle' is a purpose-built micro apartment inspired by tiny home design, perfect for comfortable stays away from home. The full but compact kitchen, custom-built joinery, and luxury finishes blend with treeline views and jungle vibes to bring you tiny home living, Braddon style. With at-home convenience, curated design, and a location just 350m from a tram stop and a 10-minute walk to Lonsdale Street, this place is a must-stay.
THE SPACE:
'Jungle' is located on the first floor, one of three custom-built, cleverly themed boutique micro apartments that make up the 'GREEN ROOMS.'
This boldly green-painted apartment, featuring jungle-themed wallpaper and custom artwork, can be fully or partially divided into two distinct areas: kitchen/living and bedroom/laundry. The four fluted glass stackable sliding panels can be adjusted to reveal or close off spaces for added privacy.
The apartment includes a queen-sized bed and a King Living sofa bed in the kitchen/living area, which electrically extends to a king single bed. Please note: Sofa-bed linen and an extra set of towels are provided only when booking for a third person. If you require these extras without a third person, there is an additional linen charge of $50. Please let me know when you book if you would like this option.
Ducted air conditioning ensures comfort through all of Canberra's seasons.
Free on-street parking is available in the cul-de-sac and on the main street. Plus, you're conveniently located between two tram stops, each about 350m from your doorstep, with electric scooters never far away.

BEDROOM / LAUNDRY:
The queen-sized mattress rests on a custom-built bed base with a paneled green velvet bedhead. The bed base includes soft-close drawers at the foot and open shelf storage along the side. The bed sits snugly against the fluted glass sliders, which can remain open with a view of the smart TV or closed for privacy.
A floor-to-ceiling window to the right of the bed offers treelined street views, finished with a roller blind and sheer textured curtains to create the perfect lighting for your mood. Another narrow floor-to-ceiling window faces west, equipped with a blackout blind to control heat and light when you need extra rest.
At the foot of the bed, you'll find a purpose-built suitcase storage shelf topped with a stone benchtop. Above it, two brass hanging rails offer space to hang your clothes or spread out your belongings as you plan your outfit. Behind the rails is a wide, full-length mirror.
A Bosch washer-dryer combo is located under a stone benchtop, along with a steam iron and compact ironing board. A safe is also available for storing valuables during your Canberra adventures.
KITCHEN / LIVING:
The living area features a beautiful King Living sofa bed in a textured rust fabric. The sofa cushions can be adjusted or removed for ultimate comfort. For extra space (or an additional guest), simply hover your hand over the side button, and the sofa extends electrically to a single bed size.
Let natural light pour in through the narrow floor-to-ceiling window, or block it out with the blackout blind. Whether you're staying in to watch something on the 4K high-def 43-inch Smart TV or logging into your favorite music app to play your tunes, this space is designed for relaxation.
A side table doubles as a height-adjustable laptop table. Work comfortably on the sofa or raise it to full height to use as a standing desk.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook your favorite meals: cooking utensils, baking dishes, beautiful serveware, and essentials like olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, tea, instant coffee, and sugar. The kitchen includes an induction cooktop, a combi steam oven (for baking and reheating), a full-sized dishwasher, an integrated half fridge (note: no freezer), and a Nespresso coffee machine with pods. If you're dining in, one of the two sofa tables is perfect for enjoying your meal. Cleaning supplies are also provided, including The Aromatherapy Co. kitchen multipurpose spray, hand wash, lotion, and Eco Store dishwashing powder and liquid.
BATHROOM:
The bathroom features a stunning free-standing pedestal basin with brass tapware and a floor-to-ceiling narrow window with a blackout blind. The generously sized shower offers both a monsoon and a handheld showerhead, stocked with Thankyou. hand and body wash, luxe body lotion, and Monday shampoo and conditioner. Plus a Remington Jetsetter 2000 hair dryer.
The GREEN ROOMS are primarily powered by solar energy, so along with eco-friendly amenities, you can feel good about your environmental impact during your stay.

About the host

Being creative has always been my thing. Photography, design, marketing... all things that have shaped who I am today.
While getting my creative on professionally, I was creating an amazing life with my partner, Tommy. We have two super cute kids and a COVID dog, Roxy.
We love property, and where we live. There's no place like it. That's why we're sharing this world that we love, so other people can fall in love with it too.

Why they chose this property
Braddon is Canberra's most densely populated suburb, so it's no surprise that the lifestyle and entertainment options in Braddon are thriving. Braddon is home to arguably some of the best coffee in Canberra. Even the most particular of coffee connoisseurs will be impressed by Barrio Collective Coffee, on Lonsdale Street and Lonsdale Street Roasters.
Also on Lonsdale Street is a slew of bars and restaurants, with spots along this strip topping many of Canberra’s ‘must-visit’ lists for brunch, breweries, vino, and vibes. Staying right in the heart of it all guarantees you’ll never be bored — with different spots for date night every day of the week, there’s no reason to venture beyond Braddon.
Particularly worthy of mention is Bentspoke, which is consistently named as one of Canberra’s best microbreweries, eightysix restaurant, and our favorite, Corella. You’ll see plenty of impressive street art along the roadside buildings and several yoga studios and modern gyms, art classes, and music schools all located in Braddon.
Haig Park comes to life every Sunday with the Haig Park Markets. From live music, delish street eats, fresh produce, and everything in between, it's a must-do if you're in town over the weekend.
When you want to head out but don't want to get right into it on Lonsdale Street, The Howling Moon is at the end of the street, right next to the Astin apartments. It's a rooftop bar with arguably one of the best views across Canberra. You can settle in with a bottle of wine or two, get some snacks or drop in for a main meal.
