About this property
City Views in a Railway Escape
Love that ‘edge of the city’ feel with a postcard view of the majestic city skyline where you’ll see magical sunrises and hot-air balloons from this dynamic 1 bedroom 3rd floor security apartment. Luxe with its plush couch and sumptuous queen size bed, there’s a place to work in the spacious study nook, a place for breakfast on the gorgeous café balcony, or step out and enjoy the café lifestyle in Errol Street, and beyond at the Queen Victoria Market. Footsteps to North Melbourne train station.
Guests access the property via a lock box. Please be respectful of other residents when using the common walkways, lifts and lobby.
West Melbourne is a tiny residential enclave more recognised for its closeness to North Melbourne, with a large part of the suburb servicing the shipping and transport industries. Opposite a Woolworths Metro store if you want supplies for home-cooking, you can mix and match your stay with your homely favourites or try Moon Mart – a Japanese inspired café with great coffee in Stawell Street, Sassy Italian for some beautiful woodfire pizzas and even the Apollo for a classic brunch or scrumptious evening meal. Errol Street is jam packed with some of Melbourne’s finest eateries including the Auction Rooms and the Mörk Chocolate Brew House for that little indulgence. Errol Street is also home to the Comic’s Lounge which showcase some great international comedians and some fabulous cocktail bars. Take a short walk and discover the Queen Victoria Market, which is only 1.4kms from our stay, where you’ll enjoy some amazing delis, bargain shopping and fresh produce. The 216 and 219 buses will take you to Victoria University, Western Hospital and the wholesale markets in Footscray in one direction, or to Crown Casino, the law courts, Southern Cross station to Marvel Stadium, the National Gallery of Victoria, the Arts Centre and beyond in the other direction. If you need to be in Melbourne to care for a loved one, or on placement, we are 1.8 kilometres to the Royal Children’s Hospital, Royal Women’s Hospital and around 3.2 kilometres to St Vincent’s Hospital. You could spend the day exploring Melbourne’s finest – Melbourne Central, the Melbourne Museum, Chinatown, The Royal Exhibition Building and our beautiful gardens, take in a show at the Princess Theatre or Her Majesty’s Theatre, watch the football, the cricket or a big-name event at the MCG or Marvel Stadium, or simply enjoy the relaxed nature of restaurants in Docklands or along Southbank.
